Correct me if im wrong but if you marry someone cause you love them, Like truly love them, i don't understand how debt can ever be a factor?

Go ahead witih that "love conquers all" bullshyt

You can love someone who doesn't come with a luxury car note. If you do, make sure they have the means to pay for it on their own

Money in general is the leading cause of divorce

You said if you "really love somebody" debt shouldn't be a factor. fukk that. Someone bringing a mortgage they can't pay back into a relationship is not going to help it. There are plenty of equally lovable people who aren't saddled down with debt they can't pay back.

For the record my wife has student loans. One day out of the blue about 6 years ago she got a call. Apparently she had an outstanding loan she never paid on and they wanted to collect. She paid that shyt cash out of her account on the spot :manny: It was like $20K too from what I remember. So I never stressed that shyt because once I got to know her I knew she was good for it.

If you're going to commit to somebody for life it's hardly unreasonable to vet every aspect of their lives and pass if there's anything you can't deal with. Including student loans :yeshrug: "Love" doesn't mean having to accept any and everything your partner brings into the equation

A lot of people are terrible at managing debt and don't even marry people they love.

Combine this with unrealistic expectations and you have a recipe for disaster.

Exactly, people treat marriage as business arrangements, and marry because of convenience with alot of lust mixed in not because of actual Love.

In my post i said '...if you marry someone cause you love them, like truly love them,...' Im talking about the context of people marrying because of actual love being the reason and if that is the reason for you deciding to be married then i dont understand how debt could be a factor. Im insinuating exactly what you just said, people dont marry people they truly love and ultimately that is why all these other issues can cause a marriage to fail. All those people commenting and debating with me cannot comprehend words, they don't read properly.

I believe American's economy got a little better and we would have been in an economic Depression already if it wasnt for student loans. Thanks for helping the economy by majoring in Art brehs :blessed:
