Most Dems are pro imperialism at long as the domestic issues move progressive. We had this discussion with Warren supporters before on here and they pretty much stated foreign policy doesn't matter as much. I've gotten the same response offline.
Sustaining military spending doesn’t equate to being pro-imperialism. I’m very much anti war and actually would like to see us be more isolationist save for extreme human rights abuses (think Rwanda genocide). That said, we can’t lie and say we don’t benefit from the safety our military strength provides. I see the military as strong defense as opposed to how it’s been used, as an offensive

If you are talking about the electorate they aren't.

Thanks for the non-answer. lol
It’s not a non answer. I’m not sure why you’re having a hard time accepting that I can look at our spending rom multiple lenses and make a case for and against it
We are in a league of our own. No one is even close to our spending.
because we spend inefficiently!

That's like me asking you if you want pie and your like, "On one hand I do like pie but on another it is very fattening, but I have been very diligent in my workouts recently, but why mess up that progress?" You can't see how an answer like that is pretty annoying?

It’s absolutely not...but feel free to be annoyed. I’ve made my position clear - yes, keep spending based on current circumstances, cut if/when we stop policing the world and can spend more efficiently. No, I’m not in favor of cutting it just because we underspend elsewhere because I have zero faith anything not spent on military will be well spent elsewhere in this administration
