Valid point

Reality is that any plan this ambitious is going to have caveats
for the record, i dont hate people with student debt :heh:

i want degrees of relief that corresponds with everyone's personal situation. perfect example; take everyone's current balance and forgive 50% of it. and then going forward, issue loans at 0% interest

thats the other problem, what does this "forgive everything" plan mean for kids who just started school this year? :dead: is this forgiveness in perpetuity, or do they miss the boat?

you create a RIDICULOUS problem with what to do with the people who havent gone to college yet. we cant just say "everyones college is free forever, no matter where you went", but they dont actually have any debt to forgive yet :dwillhuh:

No doubt. I have debt and by the time this would come online I will likely be close to finished with it. I can see tax credits for some people.

Anyone thinking they getting a retroactive check bugging tho. Or it’s going to get taxed :heh:

Deep down they know it’s wrong. They’re looking out for their own interests. I ain’t mad at it. I’d vote for Bernie if I had student debt :lolbron:
I actually don’t, again, I’m in a bracket that gets hit hardest by taxes (Republicans skip taxing the wealthy and pass their burden down to us, while democrats label us “well off” and put it on us to support the bottom) yet has the fewest credits or deductions available, I pay for a ton of shyt I’ll never use, qualify for or benefit from, so I’m absolutely here for one fukking government safety net that actually works for me :manny:

and it’s funny some of the m4a supporters also feel like y’all who are against this. want me to pay $6k more a year to give insurance to someone I don’t know then feel some type of way about debt forgiveness to someone they don’t know. If I should’ve chosen not to go to school that person should’ve chosen a skill set that got them a job with insurance :sas1:

House Martell #SnakeGang #Targset
then push for UBI :yeshrug:it's a fairer and more effective way of addressing this problem

let me just get this straight: some motherfukker who finishes grad school JUST the month before bernie forgives this debt, ran up undergrad/grad school worth of debt because it's an investment that gets them a 100k job right out the gate, and has made one student loan payment so far:

we should just forgive their debt? :laff:

Banks and the car industry made bad decisions and lost bets, we should bail them out?

I am happy to allot my taxes for things like these to happen.

Mr. Robert Smith paid off the student debt of the 2019 grads at morehouse college, did the previous classes demanded theirs be paid as well? No

and I know government and philanthropy is to the same...closest example I can come up.

I think we all as rational adults understand that it didn’t happen during your time so you KIM.

Besides Bernie and Liz, who else is trying to do shyt?

I don't hate Biden like some but all he will do is undo a couple Trump policies and then maybe tinker with Obamacare..probably restore Paris..

That's cool.. but that's not much. That's not a change nor is it much of a benefit to working people.

Klobachar and Pete are both "we can't do anything" candidates..

With Bernie or Liz, they start high and then settle somewhere left of Obama which is better in my view than running to the center.

I mean, that’s the purpose of Biden, his original appeal, let’s just get back normal. It’s also why I don’t mind him, he’s a stop gap :yeshrug:

I think all elections should be open and we shouldn't have Party designations next to the candidates
I’d like to see this as well...I think a lot of people would vote more in line with their actual beliefs if we just got rid of parties and people paid attention to platforms

Ya know..im becoming a bit more comfortable with the prospects of a biden administration. I think he would be pressured to adopt some of the progressive policies being championed now and has a decent shot of getting things passed as well as supreme court justices nominated. I wouldnt put it past mitch to stonewall biden like he did obama but itd be less likely than a bernie nominee.

Im still a bernie guy right now but id turn out for joe

Thatd be awesome but it has no chance in hell of ever happening

Dems and gop banded together to crush 3rd parties after they got shook by perot. Essentially dissolving parties altogether would be mayhem
