16 would work perfectly and get rid of 1st round byes, but they want to reward the top 4 seeds which is understandable

G5 teams really have no business in this playoff.

As I said in main thread, the G5 teams should have their own playoff. Teams like JMU, Tulane, Boise State, UNLV, etc should be facing each other. That would be live.

Thats really my only complaint. Those two slots should have went to teams like TX and ND.

No, if you want to give them their own playoff send em back to D1-AA

Anything can happen in one game. In basketball we thought letting 16 seeds play was pointless because they could never win, now we've seen 2 win in the last 10 years

This isn't even a "this year" conversation, we've seen this same type of discourse in the BCS, in the 4-team era and 12-team.

My overall point is if you don't want those teams to be able to compete for a championship then why are they even in the same subdivision? Have a championship for the P4+ND, a championship for the G5 and let the FCS do what they do. If you don't want to do that, then you have to give those teams a shot or else they're playing for nothing

I do agree with this paragraph tho but mt issue as I keep saying is these teams just don’t have it in the line of scrimmage it’s literally not fair to them

You just ignore the fact, that regardless of this word salad you spewed, we beat more ranked teams this year than anybody in cfb, AND our only losses are to a team in the playoff and a fringe playoff team.

I didn't say we will win it all, but to say we have no chance whem our resume says otherwise, is foolish. The math mathes.

And go find my posts from back then. I said nobody after about ranked number 8 has a legit argument to win it all. But guess what.....that was also PRE-NIL, so now that talent is spread around you have 3-4 more teams that can afford to pay MONEY to play, now. James Madison is not one of those teams.

I can't lie I am stunned that ND is left out but the new mindset gotta be we gotta be undefeated or we are not making the playoffs Not going to even talk about joining a conference because that Will never happen good luck to all the teams in the playoffs

Their loss enjoy these bum ass teams in your playoffs

Obviously we are one the best teams in the country rn and had a legitimate chance to win it all…they shouldn’t have scheduled Miami and A&M to start the season…we win at least one of those if it’s middle of the season
