I read the first paragraph and realized why nobody dapped this. You don’t know what you’re talking about so please refrain from giving advice. Calories in vs. calories out - that’s all you need to know and that’s all that matters OP.

That only works to a certain point. I used the caloric restriction route before and while it works great at the beginning you will see the weight loss slow down over time and then ultimately plateau. This is because your body adapts to the lower calorie count and slows down your metabolism as a result.

The only way to lose weight without slowing down your metabolism is to fast. When your body is denied calories all together it will go straight into fat burning mode. And because there are no calories coming in there is no slowing down of the metabolism. Then when you eat again, you eat a full meal with tons of calories spiking your insulin causing your metabolism to go into hyperdrive.

Nothing works better than fasting when it comes to fat loss.

I’m like 5 foot 4 / 5 foot 5

Look bro. Follow a consistent fasting routine and you'll melt all that weight in 6 months.

I started fasting 2 weeks ago. I was 186 lbs. Yesterday I weighed myself and I was 172 lbs. I lost 14 lbs in 14 days. That's a pound a day. I also went to the gym lifting and have lost zero strength on my lifts. So all that weight I lost was fat and not muscle.

I started with a 3 day fast. It was brutal. But after detoxing my body with that initial fast the following ones became easy. In fact the 3 day fasts are so easy now that I'm challenging myself to a 7 day fast.

Just try it out. You got nothing to lose.

No. He could lose all that weight in 6 months with an aggressive prolonged fasting regime.

1 meal every 7 days until that gets hard. Then go to 1 meal every 3-4 days. Sprinkle in daily exercise and a diet of natural foods and he'll easily lose all that weight in 6 months.

I'm glad it worked for you but for the life of me, I will never understand how people decided this eating-disorder ass shyt was a good idea. :mjlol:

Its not an eating disorder. Its how we evolved to eat.

You think our ancestors were eating 3 meals a day in the ancient past? Hell do you think they were eating 1 meal everyday? Nope. They would go through cycles of FEASTING then FASTING. Just look at modern day hunter-gatherers. They spend days without food stalking animals. Then when they kill the animal they eat it all in one sitting because they don't have refrigarators to keep the meat fresh. Our ancestors lived the same way. They would go days without food. Then when they killed an animal they would eat a huge amount in one sitting.

This sort of eating cycle vibes with the hormones in our body. Its why people who fast are way healthier than people who don't fast. And FYI when you fast you don't feel hungry. Its a pretty incredible experience. Try it out before trashing it. It just might change your life.

Call starvation "healthy" brehs.
Risk hypoglycemia and organ failure for the latest diet fad, brehs.
Again, I'm glad it worked for you. But unlike our ancestors, I do have a refrigerator and shyt. I'll pass.

False. I've done the fasting experiments myself. You don't feel hungry at all while fasting. People gotta realize that it isn't a lack of food that causes hunger, its a hormone known as Ghrelin. Our body when it runs low on food will send this hormonal signal to the brain telling us to eat. However, if you power through that short burst of Ghrelin you'll notice that the hunger goes away. Also Gherlin doesn't build the longer you go without eating. What happens is your body gets used to the lack of food and stops sending that hormone all together. Your body then just starts feeding on its own stored fat through a process known as ketosis. Once you enter ketosis you stop feeling hungry.

As long as you do the initial 72-96 hour fast and detox yourself from the inevitable sugar withdrawal it'll be smooth sailing from then on. People who are very fat can actually fast the longest because they have the most stored fat. There are obese people who have gone for 300+ days without any food. Their body just keeps feeding on all that fat they have stored and doesn't make them hungry. If homeboy who started this thread wanted he could actually fast for the next 6 months with zero food and get all the energy he needs from his stored fat reserves.

Ya'll need to stop fearing fasting. Its literally the most natural thing you can do. Our bodies were designed to FEAST then FAST.

Eat less. Cut out the sugar and refined carbs. Drink water. Keto can help kick start the weight loss process but most of your lost weight will be water, not fat.

It all comes down to calories in v calories out.

IF and prolonged fasting are just tools to help you achieve this caloric deficit, they are not the end all be all.

No such thing as slowing down metabolism in the way that you’re describing it. If you mean that a lighter body needs less calories then yes. Fasting is just another way to take in less calories than you burn and the only reason it works. There are several ways to reach the desired result. You can eat less everyday or you can eat less often by fasting. At the end of the day it all equals out to calories in vs. calories out.

And unlike our ancestors you will probably die of heart disease or cancer. shyt our ancestors didn't have to worry about.

And FTR fasting isn't starvation. As long as you have sufficient body fat your body will be fine. It will simply feed on the stored energy in your fat reserves. If you're mad lean then yes you could starve because you lack the stored fat reserves.

Our bodies store fat for this exact reason. So that when we are without food we will have sufficient energy to survive.

The earliest known descriptions of cancer appear in several papyri from Ancient Egypt. The Edwin Smith Papyrus was written around 1600 BC (possibly a fragmentary copy of a text from 2500 BC) and contains a description of cancer, as well as a procedure to remove breast tumours by cauterization
