The stored fat in your belly is no different than the food you eat. Both get used by the body for energy. When you deprive your body of food it will start feeding on the stored fat reserves. And obviously people who are extremely fat have way more stored energy than people who are lean. That is why obese people can fast for that long. Their body just muches on that stored fat they have built up over years of overeating.

No such thing as slowing down metabolism in the way that you’re describing it. If you mean that a lighter body needs less calories then yes. Fasting is just another way to take in less calories than you burn and the only reason it works. There are several ways to reach the desired result. You can eat less everyday or you can eat less often by fasting. At the end of the day it all equals out to calories in vs. calories out.

You are wrong because you discount the impact hormones have on weight loss. If you're still eating 5-6 times a day at a reduced caloric intake you are still spiking your insulin all throughout the day never entering ketosis to burn that stored fat.

The reason fasting is superior to simple caloric restriction is because you work with the hormones in your body. By only eating once you only spike your insulin for that short period of time. The rest of the day your insulin gradually drops until its so low your body has no choice but to start burning stored fat for energy. With normal caloric restriction you never allow your insulin levels to drop low enough to start burning fat because you eat too frequently.

Eating frequency matters a lot more than how much you eat when it comes to fat loss. Its all about the hormones buddy.

Dude, stop with the stupidity. No human being can survive without food for damn near an entire calendar year. Why do you continue to say such outlandish shyt?

The earliest known descriptions of cancer appear in several papyri from Ancient Egypt. The Edwin Smith Papyrus was written around 1600 BC (possibly a fragmentary copy of a text from 2500 BC) and contains a description of cancer, as well as a procedure to remove breast tumours by cauterization

People who are overweight die of more diseases than those who are fit. Mass obesity is a new phenomenon. Our ancestors didn't have the chance to eat themselves to death the way we do. Thus it stands to reason that the average man or woman 10,000 years ago was far healthier than the average person today.

If you wanna argue overweight people don't have worse health outcomes than people in shape then more power to you. I live in the real world not whatever make believe world you live in.

I’ve been active in the gym for 10+ years. Moms is a personal trainer as well as a professional body builder. My best friend is a personal trainer as well. It is absolutely possible to drop that much weight.

I’m reading somebody recommending a 3-4 day fast and while I won’t knock that because I’m not educated in that particular topic but their are definitely other ways to lose weight and build a habit around exercising as well as eating right then doing something such as that. Good luck and the benefits will be life changing if you have the will to make and stick with a lifestyle change. :obama:

Its not an eating disorder. Its how we evolved to eat.

You think our ancestors were eating 3 meals a day in the ancient past? Hell do you think they were eating 1 meal everyday? Nope. They would go through cycles of FEASTING then FASTING. Just look at modern day hunter-gatherers. They spend days without food stalking animals. Then when they kill the animal they eat it all in one sitting because they don't have refrigarators to keep the meat fresh. Our ancestors lived the same way. They would go days without food. Then when they killed an animal they would eat a huge amount in one sitting.

This sort of eating cycle vibes with the hormones in our body. Its why people who fast are way healthier than people who don't fast. And FYI when you fast you don't feel hungry. Its a pretty incredible experience. Try it out before trashing it. It just might change your life.
Who gives a fukk what people did 100s of years ago, they barely lived to see 50 a lot of the time. Going weeks without food is not healthy, at all. You think they chose to go days and days without food for health benefits? They went long periods without food because there wasn’t a Kroger down the street. Fasting is fine, nothing wrong with eating at 8 the night before and skipping breakfast and getting you a 12-14 hour daily downtime of no eating. I do that a lot of days. Going days or weeks without nourishment or any sort in 2019 in simply idiotic. Sound like some of them twitter keto cult nutrition folks that act like eating a strawberry is unhealthy. “This is how they did it in the caveman days they went days without eating and died at 27 but they were real fit and healthy when they died so try and eat as little as possible because that’s what they did”

Easily possible. Just start fasting. And not that intermittent fasting bullshyt. You need to do PROLONGED FASTING. Build a habit of fasting 72-96 hrs back to back to back. Eat only 1 meal every 3-4 days and you'll melt off all that fat in about 3 months.

Follow this guy on YouTube:

This is the best weight loss method for someone who is as heavy as you are.

The average person can't just jump right into 2-3 day fasts. They need to start with IF so their body can first get used to going longer periods without eating, and then build from there. That's how I started.

“They didn’t have to worry about heart disease or cancer” because they fukking died of dysentery or measles when they were in their 30s. Those are vastly elderly age issues, something that more often than not wasn’t reached in the days of not knowing where your next meal was coming from

but it’s hard as hell to lose weight and work a 9 to 5

How is it hard? You can work out anytime from 6am to 8am and still be to work on time. Or anytime after from 6-10. And that's being generous.

You dont need 3 hours in the morning, nor do you need 4 hours at night. You should be in and out within 1 hour. And even 1 hour is pushing it. You don't need to go gym. There's too many workout DVDs or programs that you can stream on YouTube, or torrent, or subscribe to that you can do in the comfort of your home that are up to 45 minutes.
