I mean... that number is kinda misleading.

I wouldn't expect most people under 18 to have over a grand saved. What percentage of Americans is that?

But overall, I call bs. 62% of Americans don't have $1k in the world? :rudy: Does that even sound right?

Savings Accounts are a joke. Why keep one when the return on Interest is a pathetic 0.02% or less for a basic account, and BOA charges $10 for overdraft protection?

I keep my money in checking (1.5k minimum), charge everything to my card and pay it off in full every month. I get hundreds in rewards every year as opposed to less than $20 for Savings.

Online savings are the best bet. I have an account with ally and haven't had any issues. They also offer higher interest. I think I'm getting near 1%. No point in saving at a b&m bank. It's best to post yourself first and build up savings. That's how I did it.

Most Americans have less than $1,000 in savings

That is just disgusting man. How do not have $1,000 in the bank at the very minimum :scust:
cause bills.... lets say you make 3500 a month... and your bill are 2600 a month.... you officially don't have 1000 even tho you got 900

but yea... with the avg HOUSEHOLD only making 50k a year... that's essentially 25k a person

don't let tv, movies and bullshyt fool you... america is bigger than the coastal states and most people are fukking broke
