Shootouts involving every race happens everyday. shyt you can probly pull up a new cac pedophile story daily. That doesnt mean it represents reality. The black community has been through lots of shyt but conditions are generally getting better.

The corporations who control the media like to fear monger so when these politicians spy on us and steal our freedom in the name of security, no one objects. Its hardly about race anymore, its low and middle class vs the rich (tho white priviledge obviously exists) but really the elite just wants all the broke mahfukkas to fight amongst themselves over non issues like abortion, gay marriage or drug legalisation while they rob us blind.

crime is directly related to economic status. poor people are much more likely to commit crimes because they are financially desperate and arent afforded many economic opportunities. economic based crime is very real, especially in the black community

That's a great point to make in regards of robberies, drug dealings, prostitution, and fraud. We can't make that excuse for our people that act childish in a neighborhood party. A setting that is set-up for people to have a good time you shouldn't be made into a war-zone.

Yeah it does. It absolutely does, a lot of young Black people buy into the stereotypes thrown at them. I've lived into Latino neighborhoods in NYC where just as much if not more drinking & drugging goes on, and there's much less violence. A lot of brothers feel worthless to society at large, and look at people who look like them as no better. As Black men we constantly challenge each other's masculinity with physical threats, to the point where it's second nature.

That being said, I'm glad I'm 32. Just going to some of the places I use to hang or go clubbin, makes me think to myself, what the fukk was I thinking.

Unfortunately, that means a lot of people who are willing to make!a change for their lives, will leave these neighborhoods, and maybe that will force those who let shyt go on, will make the change happen. Life isn't a movie, and people, even bad people aren't bad to everyone they come across or know. But it's bad when a community who generally lives in fear of someone comes to that persons aid, in the public's eye. Because while we see them as people, they look at it like we are supporting or harboring terrorist.
