So to be clear, @Swagnificent is basically implying the Sixers should have kept Turner and Hawes.
Exactly and play for the 9th seed.

Sam Hinkie traded Jrue Holiday essentially for 3 lottery Picks: MCW, Nerlens Noel and a possible top 10 lottery pick in 2014![]()
Oh, so you're going to conveniently leave out that you have been saying Embiid, Wiggins and Exum will be stars? If they get the top pick, or even the 2nd pick they are guaranteed a shot at one of those 3 players, even if Embiid doesn't come out.
The Clippers being awful and stacking lottery picks is exactly why they got CP3, lets leave out the stock piling of assets brehs.
You can tell he never actually watched Hawes or Turner play, dude just looks at their stats and probably said "These guys are good!"
Who said anything about not building through the draft? Almost every player in the league was drafted at some point. Obviously the draft is critical. I'm simply saying that the best teams build incrementally through smart draft choices (don't need to be lottery cause Parker and Ginobili weren't), free agency, and trades.
There has never been a champion that built itself through 2 drafts after intentionally gutting the team to acquire first and second round picks. This is shyt you see in video games. The fact you nikkas is defending this is laughable to me.

All terribly ran franchises dog.Didn't Cleveland have 4 top 4 picks in 3 seasons? Doesn't Charlotte pick in the top 5 every year? Didn't the Clippers have a run last decade where they were perennially at the top of the lottery?
Having high first round picks doesn't necessarily mean you'll become better. There could always be better players later in the draft. You cite Paul George being had at pick 10, but you gotta remember even 10 was considered a reach for him. The draft is a crap shoot. Everyone knows this. No one ever really knows who'll be great and who won't. The idea to intentionally lose now because you'll turn into a contender through 2 drafts is stupid and as I stated never been done.

At these hating ass fans because they teams are stuck being mediocre. Lmao exactly. Hawes don't even start in Cleveland of all places Shyt he will never start again. Turner will never be a starter again.
shyt got meAt these hating ass fans because they teams are stuck being mediocre.
In Hinkie we Trust

This sums up everything. These dudes think its a video game where you can just trade all your assets for draft picks and draft the next bron and dwade and your set for the next 10 yrs. All I know is no decent free agent will even consider Philly for the next 5 years and if those draft picks don't turn out to be the next KD, Westbrook and Harden than they gonna lose a bunch of fans when there losing by 20 pts every single night for the foreseeable future. There needs to be some kind of NBA rule where you cant just unload everyone single player cuz this shyt is risky as fukk.
