Point is it doesn't matter. Hibbert got off. Didn't matter. Duncan got off. Didn't matter. Shaq can and certainly would get off. But it still wouldn't matter.

This team would have NO answer for LeBron whatsoever and their bench was invisible. There's a reason this team got swept out of the playoffs annually. :lolbron:

94 Pacers....Another veteran squad vs a young upstart...I chalk that up to youth.

95 Rockets....Nobody was stopping Dream at the pinnacle of his career

96 Bulls....arguably the greatest team of all time

Jordan coming back, Penny fighting through injuries, and Shaq opting to go to Los Angeles fukked that team over.

Had they stayed together longer, they would've at least won 1 or 2

they came up against a grizzled veteran squad with a prime Hakeem, and a bunch of abnormally clutch players.

That team would sweep the Heat, also

Prime LeBron and a bunch of abnormally clutch players like Ray Allen, Mike Miller, Battier, or Mario Chalmers?

Penny is my favorite player ever but yall are crazy if you think he's gonna dominate Bron. LeBron is the upgraded version of Penny. So yall tryin to say a team that never won shyt would beat Miami in 4 or 5? :laff:

But aren't the 2013 Heat a veteran squad? Matter fact, I'll have to check, but I think they won the title in 2012 too. :lupe:

So is this thread about the 95 magic or the 98 Magic in hypothetical world where Shaq stays and Penny never gets hurt and they develop together. Because, yeah, that team would have been special. Almost as good as the imaginary 01 Magic with T-Mac, Hill and Duncan.

Besides Ray Allen, Kenny the Jet, Sam Cassell, and Robert Horry>>>>>>>The rest of them cats

Lebron is perimeter based. The Heat couldn't handle a consistently great inside presence.

I'm not talking about :flabbynsick:Duncan, I'm talking about legitimate 7+ footers with exquisite post skills...in their primes

Perimeter based. They came within a few missed FT's of losing to a over the hill core in San Antonio

Dunk's not even half the player he used to be.

and he's damn sure no prime Hakeem or young beast mode Shaq.

:whoa: Uh, let's not go overboard here. Duncan is still a great player. Not an MVP guy he used to be but still good all around and better than most big men in the game still.

Put it like this... because I'm a veteran NBA fan and I've learned a lot the past 20+ years studying this game.

Youth is NEVER served in the NBA. I actually picked that 95 Magic squad to beat the Rockets because I was only 12 back then. Last year I laughed at anyone who thought OKC stood a chance because Miami was a hungry, veteran squad playing against babies.

The 95 Magic were a team of toddlers. No way they're gonna beat a team with championship pedigree AND LeBron James.

Let's not forget it took Shaq 5 more years before he finally became a champion in this league.

And the only defensive strategy vs. LeBron is to make him shoot the jumper and have a defensive anchor to guard the rim.

San Antonio was able to live with that the whole series. The problem for them is that LeBron went off in a game that San Antonio knew they shouldn't have been playing in the first place. That is why you step on the neck and close it out and dont give your opponent new life... esp in a game where LeBron couldn't hit anything from the outside.

This Heat team could probably beat that Magic team due to their depth and the Magic's lack of experience. Would they beat the Hakeem led Rockets? I don't think so.

Shaq wasn't in his prime in 95 though. He was still a big time player but he wasn't doin the same shyt he did with the Lakers.

I respect your opinion.

I just can't see a perimeter oriented team like the Heat beating a team with a dominant(not just "good"..I'm looking at you Roy Hibbert) center.

Especially a dominant center surrounded by shooters and another dominant creator/one on one player like Penny

29 and 12 in '95...........No matter what incarnation of Shaq we're talking about here, he's shytting on Miami's front line and collapsing their D.

We're not talking about a old, slow, and methodical Duncan. We're talking about maybe the most dominant physical presence ever witnessed on a basketball court
