Why concentrate on digital orders though? Every time I go past a fast food restaurant and see a gang of Just Eat, Deliveroo & UberEats staff I walk past. They spend too much time on those orders than the people in the store.

Yeah, I have to admit I find this really annoying

Look here… if McDonalds corp saw that it will benefit to automate 40 percent of their workforce(in certain areas) then it’s gonna happen and they will provide some type of subsidy to those selected franchisees if need be…. And it’s gonna start happening sooner than later

No one is saying that it isn’t going to happen breh :mjlol:

First off, every McDonald’s isn’t corporate owned. Secondly, what we are saying is that the technology is still years away from that become a viable option for the majority of restaurants out here. Even then, in the meantime you still need workers NOW and can’t afford to operate the mantra of automation coming to save you as it’s years away from happening.

Automation doesn’t mean shyt if your business goes under before the technology is even there.

Real talk, automation hits harder in the white collar world more so than the fast food world. Whole ass job series in the federal government got wiped out thanks to automation processes. Saw that shyt happen first hand with "Legal Instruments Examiners" in my agency. 450 strong force got cut down to 75. These old heads was caking in that position too.:francis:

Your opinions been proven false, time and time again. Just say that you a scumbag business owner that soon gonna get into trouble with the Department of Labor, for underpaying your employees.

You dont believe that high school kids deserve an opportunity to save money? Or grown fast food workers deserve to live free from government assistance?

I'm growing tired of this.

I don’t know how chik fil a workers feel but I can’t even eat there anymore, the lines for drive through are always wrapped around the store and out into the parking lot. The food ain’t that good so they half to be short staffed.

It feels like the demand for fast food has increased with online orders and these companies have done too little to compensate. Most of these places staff the bare minimum and don’t want to pay nobody to work all damn day. I don’t blame these kids for not fukking with it, it ain’t worth their time

Absolutely nothing in here but excuses.. And time is ticking boys and girls..

30 years old will come up on you like an armed man.. :francis:

This "pseudo-socialist" generation is going to learn some hard lessons cause they're not built tough enough to deal with a system that has proven time and time again that it does not work as power and wealth ultimately translates from the people to the State. I've been to Castro's Cuba and Chávez Venezuela..these coddled, pretentious revolutionaries HAVE NO IDEA what they're asking for but they'll get it in spades.

They didnt quit because of pay (based off the article). They quit because they were having the dog shyt worked out of them. Everyone wants to capture that digital order money. The truth is some type of cap needs to be put on that shyt. Alot of places don't have the staffing to meet demands on both ends. But these corporations so greedy they don't give a fukk.

The potential effects of automation are often drowned in chicken little talk

Where are these robots? We see videos of them all the time and they do a good job of scaring nikkas but they're rarely if ever implemented. Why is that?

Automation will fast become diminishing returns when the people you're trying to sell automated services to can't afford your shyt

You think every McDonald's can afford to be automated?

Automation is quickly being exposed for the scare tactic it is. Every time workers demand better treatment the news trots out the robot vids:russell:
i guess you haven't been paying attention if you are asking where are these robots. Mix this with the kisok screen where people order which they are already adding TechCrunch is part of the Yahoo family of brands

automate this and be done with it, each store needs 3 employees max.
A computer can take and serve your order.
1 guy in the back keeping the machine going with raw supplies, 1 other guy in the back on the low end gettin his janitor and or IT on managing the software and a local manager to basically do nothing...... thats it. chipotle, jack n the box, mickey Ds, I dont need to see anybody when i walk in. Just the menu to order, a terminal to pay, wait some time, get my ish and fade out.

@Wild self, stop. even if shyt was fixed right, theres a segment of the population that isnt even financially literate to know how to manage money where shyt would be the same. THATS A HUGE PART OF THE PROBLEM. Look at how folks are putting themselves into unnecessary debt just for leisure purposes You cant fix people who dont think they have a problem.

You have a bunch of folks that want to get paid but dont understand the system they live under, poor money management skills, sense of entitlement, financially illiterate, nonskilled, possibly not even educated with anything higher than a high school diploma or a ged, poor work ethic, being picky with the types of jobs they are and are not willing to do and etc wondering why they are struggling.

The system is fukked up and thats how it was designed to work. What is your solution to counter that though? Because yall never have any solutions, just arguments driven by ego.

I said if it matched Americas productivity in that time. Not a 1 to 1 inflation comparison on the wage #. It's more complicated than a 1 to 1 comparison. Productivity and cost of living are major factors.

Notice when it started going the other way? Boomers have fukked America up by being the spoiled brat fukk everyone else generation. Oddly enough they try to put that on todays kids, who have to suffer through 100x the financial hardships they had too.

MINE MINE MINE has been their mantra. They don't even care what the world is like for their own grandkids.

The fact remains that 75% of these jobs are NOT staffed by teenagers.

This is the free market right? If people don't want to do the job for what they are currently offering, then clearly it is not enough to attract workers.

How else do we reverse this incredible disparity that has developed since the boomers got in charge?

These 'lazy teens' got the cheap labor industry by the balls right now, good for them.
And check this out ALL the hoarders I know (in my family too) are baby boomers, all the people I know with houses decked out way too much for them to properly maintain it at their ages now are boomers. It's crazy how much fukking spending these people have done over the years. Just buy buy buy, credit especially, it's ridiculous
