yea, our cap situation is shyt. maybe this 3rd rounder is conditional or something....alex by himself about to be a FA shouldnt net a a 65th overall pick

thats why this is bizarre..Chiefs are dumb as hell if they gave up the first pick in the 3rd rorund for a soon ot be fa who they could have possibly had for nothing in a few months

in situations like this its always the competition....but its hard to believe chiefs thought anyone was giving a similar deal to what they supposedly gave up...especially since last offseason no one but miami fukked with alex smith when he was a FA

Nah Sanchez clearly is dog shyt, there's no debate on him. The numbers show you that.

His 1st 2 years showed a lot of promise. 2 AFCCG's. He threw 26 TD's in his 2nd season. But I find Sanchez and Smith situations to be so similar. Every excuse Smith has gotten, I can give to Sanchez, really.

Another good half season helped him, and his familiarity with the WCO is a good asset for KC.

I also think sometimes people over-value picks, while Alex isn't some elite QB, he is a quality starter and a leader.

So you give up a 3rd round pick, which could be a complete bust, for a guy who is going to step in and be ready on day one who plays a smart game and fits your team well.

Nah, his first 2 seasons weren't promising.

His teams first 2 seasons were promising, Sanchez has been the same QB since day 1, his rookie year he was 12/20 td-picks his second year he was 17-13.

He was always a mistake making bum. , he did play a few good playoff games though.

Alex had a completely different situation than Mark, Alex came into a team with nothing in talent and coaching and failed miserably, Mark came into a team with a lot of talent was the weak link that held them back from a SB.

When Smith was carried by his defense he was a top 10 rated passer, when Sanchez was carried by his defense he was a bottom 10 passer.

But you're right on Alex being garbage for the beginning of his career.

The only thing Fez showed in the first 2 years was that he could be clutch if he was in that situation. Other than that he's been the same QB and 2 years he's lost any ability to be even do the things he was remotely decent at.

Dead on.

People forget how that team was built to hide Mark's flaws the first 2 years, once they "opened it up" year 3 it fell apart.

He's been trash since day one, he did have clutch moments though.
