So you see no difference in what Manning or Rodgers does as opposed to Alex Smith?

Of course I do. But they are in 3 totally different schemes and are required to do 3 totally different things and guess what, all of the them were on winning teams...

Are Peyton and Brady better?

Of course they are

I've heard enough of Alex Smith. The Niners were insanely talented the past two years with guys still on their rookie contracts. The switch to Kaep was for the future....because he's 100x more talented than Smith...and their roster will be purged. You cant keep everyone. Kaepernick makes up for other weaker positions with his ability to be a game changer and the most important position.

Then why enter a thread about Alex Smith?

Aside from the obvious reason to go on your 10563rd diatribe about how you need the big arm QB to win the title yada yada yada.

Only 1 team wins the title each year, sometimes you have to do with a guy who is just good, not great. 32 teams can't have Aaron Rodgers

Well he also was considered a top choice QB today with great skills, that's why he was drafted #1 .

And you act like trying to get Peyton is somehow a slight to anybody, that's a top 5 all time QB.

I think Geno may be a 1st round talent, he's nowhere near a #1 overall talent though

Do you think he's the best QB though?

You do need a QB that can make throws down the field to win titles these days. I think that's abundantly clear.

Jim Harbaugh the smartest coach ever even saw that

What's 1st overall talent? I know in any draft with all top ten picks, I want a potential franchise player. Geno can be that. Would I like an once in a generation type? Sure but those don't come around often.

You talking about Geno? I`ll say no.

I don't watch a lot of college ball, but honestly what i've seen of the guy i`m not terribly impressed. That game at Yankee stadium threw up a red flag, you're supposed to be the top QB and you're struggling against Syracuse?

I really haven't done much research on any of the other guys though, any film i`ve seen has been ho-hum stuff, nothing #1 overall worthy.

You sound like someone talking out the side of their neck. Why so confident when you don't know what you are talking about.

So answer my question, you`ve heard enough of Alex Smith, so why enter the thread?

I`ve said it before, teams have waited around for 20 years trying to find that franchise star QB ask the Dolphins, Bills, Lions, Browns, Chiefs and Raiders about waiting for that star QB.

Sometimes you just have to take a good one, hope to get into the dance and luck up.

The Raiders will give you a run for your money. I am still wondering how you guys won as many games as you did.

Rex's D always plays well against QB's that havent seen his defense before....all of the Jets wins except for the Bills game were against those teams.

#1 overall talent at QB is a franchise player.

If you think Geno Smith is going to be a franchise QB, that's your opinion. It isn't mine though.

I believe if he was capable of that, the Chiefs wouldn't even be looking at anyone else.
