Role players are role players for a reason. If you key in on Steph and Klay and challenge the role players to beat you, and the Warriors win and Shawn Livingston or Mo Speights wins Finals MVP, so be it. Not likely.
i like how you listed mo speights instead of the role player that...you know...won finals mvp last year :laff: :laff:

How is it not likely? GS roleplayers killed them the first go around, they killed them in the regular season, they killed them in game 1. :francis:

ATL to MEM
Lue threw the game. He didn't play his bench (one of his biggest weapons — especially defensively) very much at all. He also didn't play them much with just 'Bron (the "death" line up), if at all. There was mostly this mix of some of the bench with some of the starters. It will be interesting to see how Game 2 goes.

He didn't play them because GS bench would run them out the building.

Very true. It's just from my observation, he's going up against a beast of a team in Golden State. He has to take up another level in order for his team to stand a good chance in my opinion. LeBron didn't have to use so much energy against the teams in the East. Now though, it's time for him to go full throttle.
What if Lebron was playing at full throttle on Thursday night during game 1? What if that was his highest gear?

You just called LeAndro Barbosa, Shaun Livingston, and Speights high level starters? :mjlol: The only high level anything off that bench is Iguodala and I guess Ezeli just because teams are so desperate for centers, Barbosa hasn't been a true quality player since his prime Suns days.

For you to seriously suggest that a 45-9 bench discrepancy won't level out is wishful thinking. Not the other way around. On top of that, it's insulting, because these are some of the best basketball players in the world for better or worse. Do you actually have any understanding of how rare that kind of output is from a bench period? And you think it's going to be a regular result? :snoop:

Poor defenders has nothing to do with their transition defense. If you contest baskets on the fastbreak and they still score, you live with that. Cleveland was letting guys leak out and go completely unguarded because 2-3 players would be guarding the same dude...it was clear miscommunication. Watch the BBall Breakdown YT video on it.

Yeah, their 3rd quarter where they went straight PnR they were killing GS and looked like they had all the momentum. Going back and watching the game I didn't even realize it until after but it seems like the Delly hit on Draygoon and the incessantly long delay that followed it caused the Cavs to forget what was working and revert back to their ugly 90's post up game.

Half-agreed. I'm not suggesting the defense on Curry and Klay is sustainable, but I AM suggesting that the Cavs, for all their defensive woes, seem to do a good job at containing them. One game is a fluke but several is a trend and outside of that one RS blowout historically speaking Curry and Klay play far, far below standard against Cleveland. Tonight's game was a literal repeat of last Finals, Curry/Klay ghost and the bench mob coming to save the day. And there's a new wrinkled added to the mix because LeBron this year seems to have no trouble guarding Curry on or off-ball. How many more times do we have to see them play mediocre before we stop saying, "They're just missing shots they usually hit?" No shyt, that's how defense works. :mjlol:

Those three are dam sure better than anything the cavs have to offer off the bench:pachaha:

When the hell did I say they would continue to outscore Cleveland's bench 45-9. :what: (And then u started whining about how my misrepresented point insulted your delicate sensibilities:skip: )

U said the bench production would “Level out”. No, the Warriors have and will continue to have a significant bench advantage. Of course it's not gonna continue to be 45-9 just like Curry and Klay are not gonna continue to combine for 20.

A “Mediocre” Curry btw averaged 26 6 5 against the cavs against Cleveland last year. The main reason he was some what contained was because of ungodly d by Delly not Lebron.
And Curry destroyed them this year which can't just be glossed over:mjlol: . The team they played in January is obviously more representative than the team the played last year.

If Curry reverts to just “mediocre” form though this series is over in 4.
