Exactly. That's what people miss when they say "they are playing like the Warriors". No they are just scoring like the Warriors in fewer possessions. Their offensive efficiency is the key to this series. If they can keep scoring like that while keeping the pace slow and limiting turnovers they will win. If they go cold or get pulled into an up and down type game with the Warriors then they will lose.

Yep their pace isn't the same as the warriors. The Cavs rarely rush their shots unlike the warriors. The warriors pace is so high because they are taking shots with the shot clock at like 18 seconds and sometimes less. Just look at the series vs the thunder. Them kats shot the ball multiple times very early in the shot clock or when the warriors were on a 1 on 4 break.

Finally as you said Lue wants them to push when they have numbers and to build up the players stamina. Especially love and kyrie.

But to beat the warriors you must attack the paint, beat them on the boards and push the pace when you have an advantage and numbers. Also folks have to remember that teams that run do not like people to run at them at times.

One more thing. The warriors are banged up and may be fatigued because Kerr has shortened the bench so much compared to last year's playoffs. The Cavs could go deeper in their bench and selectively push the pace to tire out the warriors especially Green and Curry.

True, but that is still contingent on them making shots/controlling the glass and not turning the ball over. All it takes is a couple bad passes or long rebounds and BAM! the Warriors are on a 12-0 run. At the same time he can't just pound the ball into the ground for 20 seconds like he did last year either. They are gonna have to move the ball like they have been doing without making mistakes.

They will move the ball. This will cause curry and Green to have to defend multiple people and stop the warriors from packing the paint. Plus it gets Lebron on the move to stop the warriors tilting the defense towards him.

The Cavs are a great rebounding team though, in the playoffs they have been almost as dominant on the glass as the Thunder, they basically do not give up 2nd chance points, so the rebounds should be in their favor. I get what you mean though, they'll be playing on a razors edge vs the Warriors, they have been good at valuing the ball too. A lot of the things they've done well just seem like they were getting ready for the Warriors, everything they're good at is a weakness of the Warriors, right down to having a scoring PG. I think Kyrie would be more prone to overdribbling than Bron, last year Bron's usage rate was insane because there were no other offensive options, this year Kyrie has actually had the higher usage rate in the playoffs than Bron.

:whoa: I agree they gotta push it when they have numbers and get as many easy baskets as possible. However, trying to tire these nikkas out is not the way to go. That just plays right into their hands as they are more comfortable playing such a style and the Cavs aren't. Not to mention, nobody played 40 minutes a game last series despite going down 3-1 and having to come back.

And Toronto got Cleveland for 2 games.

Please stop. You're embarrassing yourself. The Raptors had a better record than the Thunder in a stronger conference, yet the Thunder still got 3 games off of GS, including on their home floor, and would have eliminated them had Billy not cooperated with the league by playing Adams only 3 mins in the 4th quarter. Not to mention the refs benching their defenders (Adams, Roberson, and KD) in games 5 and 6. Y'all hallucination that your team actually won the series fair and square got y'all talkin' krazy. Silly GS fans, Trix are for kids.

PS: The Blazers averaged 115 points against GS, won a game, had GS down 20-something points, and pushed GS to overtime. Houston also won a game and had GS down 20-something points.

P.S.S: The Cavs swept the Hawks who are better than the Thunder on both ends, so what are you really saying?!
