Starting caliber players get 20 mill plus now....that's the just market rate nowadays
Gordon isnt great at anything but he is good at a good amount of things(defense, secondary playmaking, rebounding)

It's not 2008 anymore....salaries change.

He fits their team pretty well....he is hands down their best defender and yes defense does matter. At some points you have to be able to manufacture stops.

Using the Nets is bs bc they have the luxury of 3 of the best scorers in the league so they can overwhelm you with offense plus KD can play defense....Harden can play defense when he wants to at least one on one

Doesn't seem worth it, but he's only 25 and the team probably couldn't replace him :yeshrug:
I wonder if he would have got 92m on the open market tho. Seems like a Schroder situation where the team you're on offers way more cause of their specific circumstance more so then a "going rate" type of thing

Boy do these teams love overpaying bunch of tweeners. It's like there are old old cacs in the front office paying guys with shortcomings out of sympathy.

If Gordon is your best defender then you have a serious problem with defense.

If 15 years ago somebody told you that 10ppg "all-around" guys would be getting 20 mil per season, you'd go crazy. He's damn near useless on offense, barely going above 40% FG against a team that tries on defense.

You think Denver is gonna pay AG so they can let their prized young building block walk in RFA? There would be no point in extending AG if theyre not gonna pay up for MPJ
Like a breh said upthread many teams talk about jumping into the luxury tax until the numbers are crunched and the bill comes. If spending that money is 100% their next move MPJ would be paid by now.

I don’t get the 4th option talk as if he’d be thr 4th most valuable player on that team
4th option on offense ? Fine . But he’s far and away the best defender on that roster .

He adds more to winning than MPJ.Who will score 20 and give that 20 right back up and doesn’t create . If anything he’s the one I’d be dangling out there if I HAD to

Dame would’ve killed for a nikka like Aaron on his roster

He has that guy now in Larry Nance Jr at a fraction of the cost and just as injury prone.
