They should just let the top HS prospects test the waters as they do for college players now. Then you don't get left with the excuses made because a team can't scout properly.

I agree let them out they name in the hat do all the draft stuff if a teams wants them let the teams choose

TYRONE GA!
All of a sudden super teams are a problem :mjlol:

Lakers stacked the deck in a terrible conference and made the finals 9 times in 12 fukking years yet hear no complaints about parity :camby:

#LWO will be back :blessedmagic:

LWO teams then were drafted outside of Kareem who didn't win with the Lakers until :blessedmagic: came.

Right, so next year when some team magically picks up Melo, Bosh, Wade, Westbrook, Griffin, Butler, and CP3 all under budget we will continue giving it a pass because the Lakers got Magic in the draft :comeon:

The owners are the ones protecting themselves from themselves.

And that also applies to rookie contract scaling

I don't care what stats or science you show me that proves going to college for a yr is better, going to college for 2 is better or going straight to the NBA after HS is better.

If the kid has graduated HS, he should have every right to choose as he pleases, whether it's go to college for a yr or more or go straight to the NBA. It shouldn't matter if the kid turns into an allstar, superstar or a bust. It's solely his decision and the decisions of the team to draft these kids or not.

I didn't even listen to the interview and assumed the nba was considering going back to letting cats declare for the draft straight from high school :francis:

That's my bad

The league plans on discussing the current one-and-done rule with the NBA Players Association over the next year with the hope of raising the minimum age for draft-eligible players from 19 to 20, Greg Logan of Newsday relays.

“This year, the projection is that we’re going to have 20 one-and-done players coming and actually being drafted. When we first changed the minimum age from 18 to 19, the following year in 2006, we had two one-and-done players. So my sense is that it’s not working for anyone,” Silver said.

Silver added that teams believe players coming to the professional ranks from college after just one season aren’t as well-prepared as they should be.

:salute: silver :myman:
