Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
You're pointing this out like anyone saw Giannis developing into what he is now and what he will be later on:francis:

Breh was barely 18 playing in Greece :francis:

We got brehs talkin bout we missed out on Draymond and Jimmy, because we all seen them becoming as good as they are today right:francis:

Hindsight is 20/20, stop using gambles as examples like they were touted as high lottery picks :francis:

Hate now but don't say anything when we in the ECF:umad:

Ainge called him young Scottie Pippen after seeing him in April of 2013, 2 months before the draft.

That would be like Thibs calling Dunn young Gary Payton, then drafting Jakob Poeltl.

One player was projected as a long term project :yeshrug:

Should we have drafted Skal early too or take a pick that makes more sense

Did Ainge call Skal young James Worthy?

The problem is he identified Giannis as a rare talent, and compared him to an all-time player and took an :ld: dude instead.

Can you really blame him for choosing a safer pick, rather than shoot for high risk high reward players:yeshrug:

Listen, I think Danny Ainge is a really good GM, he gets the better of almost every deal he makes.

He's great at acquiring assets, and great at flipping them in trades for better players. He's also done a great job hiring staff.

He's just been weak as a drafter. Personally, I think Jaylen Brown could end up being great, he's a ridiculous athlete, and a VERY moldable piece of clay. Right off the bat, he's gonna make their wings and front-court more athletic, he's gonna be a beast in the open court. But when you draft and athlete and HOPE he can become a basketball player, you're playing with fire. And they haven't really developed guys like that... Avery learned to shoot, Marcus Smart's jumper is improving... but taking a big raw athlete, and making him a basketball player is a fukking TASK. He's also a guy they could have drafted a few picks later.

Yabusele is another guy I kinda like, they're hoping he can be african draymond, or sullinger without the eating disorder, but they grabbed him about 10 picks too high. He and Zizic are both interesting prospects for different reasons... zizic is a guy with a cool skillset and size, but I don't know that he's ready to come over yet. Same with Yabusele, these guys have NOT been playing big minutes against great comp.

Danny just didn't seem to get great value out of this draft, and there's a chance they traded AWAY the second best player they drafted.

Yes, and so should you... because this is a good team with no star talents. They have a team full of really good role players, and Marcus Smart, whose beauty is in the eye of the beholder. (i like him more than most)

You have to take some shots, and hope you end up with game-changing talents. Truthfully, that's what they did with Jaylen Brown.

You passed on Dunn, Heild, and Bender... so you're gonna be watching those guys closely for the next few years, hoping that Brown learns to play, and turns into a dominant guy...

And I think passing on Luwawu is a mistake, but that's just a personal preference.

The stoop with dat dope fanny padding
All those guys you just named with the exception of Mickey got drafted 10+ years ago

If you have to go back that far to find good picks Ainge has made my point has been proven. He has generally drafted terribly over the past 5-6 years, there is no way around that.

Smart, rozier and Mickey are all gonna be good. I think Hunter has a shot too.

Sullinger and olynyk were good picks as well

Smart is on pace to being the worst shooter in NBA history. Sullinger & Olynyk are both mediocre players at best. Rozier & Hunter have a long way to go. I don't know what to make of Mickey since Stevens refused to play him any real minutes last year

Smart was probably our second best player in the playoffs

Like I said, if he works on his shot and even becomes a 35% shooter from 3, the conversation on him changes completely... He's like 19 days older than kris Dunn!

He's a frustrating player, but he's incredible defensively and if he becomes even average on offense, he's a fantastic piece

Yeah in the playoffs he shot 37% from the field instead of usual 35%, and Smart was the best player while the team got knocked out of the 1st round getting blown out 3 of the 4 times against a team that had the same record as them. Tells you everything you need to know.

No player who's taken as many as shots as Marcus in their first two years has a worse FG% percentage in NBA history. He goes beyond just being a bad shooter, he has been historically horrific. That's not just something that can be overlooked or brushed aside. Anything he does defensively is wiped out by that

At this point asking him to become an average offensive player is a tall task

I get it, I flipped back and forth on smart more this season than any other player but it's too early to count him out
