People who keep guns in their homes are at greater risk of homicide in the home than people who do not.
15 of the 25 worst mass shootings in the last 50 years took place in the United States.
More guns tend to mean more homicide.
States with stricter gun control laws have fewer deaths from gun-related violence.

Well, shuffling guns across state lines is a problem for stricter states trying to keep them out. But I'd wager more of the problem lies within the state of Illinois itself. Sure, Indiana may be a pipeline of sorts but the guns are already in Illinois. Unless you could ban transferring guns, the issue of gun transfer is impossible to stop. There aren't enough drones in the skies or cameras on posts to stop a person from giving something to a friend and vice versa. Guns from shows/stores can be traced to some degree. Guns originally in the streets (self-made, stolen, etc.) are the bigger problem. Many of these Chicago "cheap pieces" are hard to track.
There are "braver" people in more tolerate states. But what I find interesting is many "heroic" stories go untold. The tragedies are told and get front page coverage. A heroic story can be ignored or get a back page story and few talk of it. If I were a criminal, I would love the stricter states. And if things like the NY story of listing gun owners became widespread, I'd simply go to any house not on the list and have happy hunting/criminal activity time.
No easy answer for guns. But Chicago is probably an example of what not to do.
that idiot jus made portrayed the image many ppl feel is the average ignorant redneck hostile retarded American
Where do the guns on the street come from?
All illegal guns were manufactured and sold in this country as legal weapons. Somewhere along the line a criminal got a hold of the gun and it just magicaly turns into a illegal gun
Why not try to prevent the guns from getting into the hands of criminals?

Are you serious?
Chicago already has a gun ban.![]()
Gun control hasn't done a thing for chicago. Chicago is one of the stricter gun control cities and yet how often do you hear of people getting killed over there? Taking guns out of the hands of legal owners is a bad thing, because criminals will find guns on an illegal market to use for their crimes. Despite these 'mass shootings' we've been having, you know who is the greatest purveyor of 'mass killings'? You know who makes the mass shootings we've been having look like a drop in an ocean? That's right, governments. Governments throughout history have proven to be infinitely more dangerous than some lone loon blasting away. Stalin killed what, 10 to 20 million of his own people?
It was a rhetorical question
But I didn't know Chicago had a ban on guns.. That shyt don't make no sense
hahahahahahaha
they played Alex(he let himself though)by making him look like the archetype of the "raving lunatic conspiracy theorist" sort on national tv,polite society will laugh&omit it off as fear mongering, even though he was right&sonned Piers
the evil cabal don't give a fukk anymore, they rubbin it in the collective grills,no need to dig anymore, they laughin at the zoo they created

The only way to completely stop a criminal is to shut down the black market. But that is like destroying the black market on music. You can only crack down on it and limit its flow. Plus as mentioned earlier, stopping person-to-person (peer) transfer is next to impossible. I am in favor of bringing some gun shows up to par. Outside of that, stores are legit because you're checked in the store while buying the firearms.
Ironically, Operation Fast & Furious and other gun runner programs had some weapons enter the USA and some less than savory guys were equipped as a result. Besides the local black market, it sucks when programs like this happen, go defunct and only pile on already bad problems in its wake.
I am in favor of stopping criminals from getting guns. I am also in favor of law-abiding citizens being armed because criminals will not follow the laws (hence, they are criminals) and defending themselves should some idiot try attacking them.
Chicago doesn't have a ban on guns. There's a ban on assault weapons and magazine with more than 12 rounds but not on guns. Check Chapter 8-20 of the Municipal Code of Chicago.
