None of my male friends have kids, but plenty of my female friends have kids, the flow of mediocre to above-average guys doesn't stop because she gave birth to someone else's child.
I personally never understood why someone would go out of their way to date someone with kids, not that there's anything wrong with kids, but you severely limit your mobility: there are financial constraints, time constraints, and emotional constraints that bind a person that has kids.
