Any engineering or hard science degree holder is eligible to take the patent agent exam. Patent agents are basically patent attorneys without the law degree. I am studying for the exam now...plan on taking it this summer.

wow, i never heard of that, its funny cuz i always thought it would be interesting to be a patent attorney but i would never want to be an attorney, i had no idea there was a specific career in the patent field for non lawyers

thanks

University of North Dakota has an online EE that is ABET accredited, im in it right now actually, you have to go there physically 2 weeks during the summer for 2 particular labs, everything else is on line

its great IMO

ah ok, it's a hybrid. Which makes sense because the lab component requires you to physically be there.

by the way fukk labs :birdman:

them bytches were such a time sink :mjcry:

Either way I hope your ace-ing them shyts

My older brother has a $110,000 starting salary job lined up and he hasn't even graduated yet! :damn:

This is why I'm majoring in CS :wow:

Yes. I graduated with a computer engineering degree but I'm now a sales manager. I actually never did pure engineering work. I also built computers but that's not really engineering work either. computer engineering, depending on specialty/emphasis, is mostly on the chip level.

Many people really talk about information systems when they think about "working with computers". I would tell kids who want computer work but not programming to go into info Sys and learn base level DBA, Unix, SAN admin, and security. Work at the school IT department for experience. When they graduate, the can get into big company IT, SYstems or sales engineer, consulting, etc. Opens up a lot of doors starting st 50-65k.

Hope that makes sense.

Seems like a lot of young brehs are in EE/CE/CS. Anyone in Civil/Structural/Transportation fields have any stories. Which areas of the country are hot beds. I assume licensing is more of an essential requirement in Civil.

Man if I wasnt retarded in math I would enroll in an engineering program. I would pick CE because i've always had an interest in structures and the infrastructure of Atlanta and the Philippines after visiting there.

Bro some of the most math deficient people I know excelled in engineering. Just try your best; plus if you really want to be an engineer spend some time practicing. Math isn't all that hard bro.
