How many of yall in front of a screen for hours a day tho, wouldn't your vision start to fukk up again?
I used to be nearsighted... I went in and got LASIK last April and I have 20/15 vision now. It's an amazing feeling not having to wear glasses or contacts any more. The only small side effects are that I have to wear shades outside pretty much all the time (more reason to wear Ray-Bans) and a bit of glare from lights at night.
I went and scheduled a free consultation to see if I was a candidate for the surgery, and once I got the go they were able to do it like 2 weeks later. Most places do that first appointment free. The surgery had price ranges from $2,000 - $3700 depending on the options. I chose the most expensive. I also got approved for a 2 year interest free loan from CareCredit.
The surgery itself was pretty weird but it was very quick, like 12 seconds each eye. That night afterwards was pretty rough, not gonna lie lol... But once I slept it off I was seeing better tafter about 6 hours, and 20/15 the next day! (I paid for the high end surgery with way quicker recovery time tho.)
Ask me anything.
I don't. I think in my case I got sensitive to sunlight after being deployed over in the desert a year prior to surgery. The sun shined so bright over there that I think it messed with my light sensitivity for a while.Kinda defeats the purpose if you still gotta wear spectacles all the time, no?

My dad got it years ago, now his eyes are starting to get messed up again, after a while it starts to fade, maybe technology is better now
nah your eyes just fukk up when your 50 or so just like the rest of your body.
if you like 30 or so still its worth it if u want 20/20 or better vision.

I see everything brehthe world is beautiful, and it feels like this is the way we were meant to be lol. Just wake up and get to moving without squinting to see the clock, reaching around trying to find my glasses, no more headaches from contacts, etc lol
Yeah man... At least the laser portion... First they put a numbing drop in the first eye, had some machine hold my eyelids open, then a laser created a thin flap for them to fold back, then a second laser goes to town on your eyes while you smell it smoking... Then they fold the flap back and apply some drops
Wash, rinse repeat on the second...
You can still see everything while they're doing it LOL.... Afterwards your vision gets blurry and once those numbing drops wear off... When they say go sleep it off, there really is no other option because it's a struggle to keep your eyes open.
Hopefully that doesn't scare anyone off, because it was only for a couple hours, but I think the staff kinda sugar coated that immediate recovery.

Naw breh. Just set a ICL Consultation. It's a alternative to Lasik.a few months ago I had a Lasik consultation, Im to nearsighted for lasik. The doctor told me he would have to shave to much off my cornea but just had my icl consultation this morning tho. If u wanna look into, just Google Visian iclI got tested to see if I qualify earlier this year. The doctor told me, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” cause my corneas are thin as fukk. He said he likes to leave a little bit on the eyes so he can go back and tweak the eyes if the sight isn’t perfect after the first time.
Gonna be on this contact and glasses wave until the robotic eyes come out in 2060![]()

Is it true that they have to cut your eye open with a scalpel and you have to be awake for it and watch that damn knife come at your eyeball without moving your eye or get fukked up for life!?!?!?
I can't take that man..I can't take that kinda shyt...i'll fight a nikka comin at me with a knife....
Okay,,,I can do the laser part...
shyt I might need a drink before I go in there.
I think I can do the laser...just as long as there ain't no knives or scalpels comin at my eyes.
fukk...can I do it for each eye tho?
Damn...I dunno about this.
fkn expensive too per eye...

that was back in the day breh. It's all lasers now, no pain. takes like 2 minutes tops, both eyes. go home, take a nap, wake up lookin at the world like
basically make sure wherever you go they're legit. My dude was doing navy seals' eyes n shyt, and gives me lifetime on anything afterward. He's a true doctor though w/a real practice, and owns his lasik machine too.
If that freaks you out still (it shouldn't), they make something now that are inserts like contacts, but they shape your eye as your sleep. So you'll sleep with them in your eyes, wake up w/20 20 vision for the day, rinse/repeat.

When I had the surgery, yes they strap you in a chair/bed, have your eyelids held open by a device, numb your eyes, and then the surgeon carefully cuts a flap open before the laser does its job, then the surgeon puts the flap back in place and gives you steriod eye drops and stuff.
