Anyone else hate that Joe Budden will be just remembered as media personality?

That would be like saying its a shame that Will Smith will be remembered more as an Oscar winning actor than a Grammy award winning rapper.

He CHOSE his path. If Joe Budden wanted to be remembered as a great rapper he’d be RAPPING. There’s literally a million different ways to get your music heard these days and he’s got a built in platform IF thats where his directives lay. It obviously doesn’t.

Bro we're in a different age he will be remembered for both. He will always be known as an ex rapper first. Yes, he will get clowned for his rapper career but if anyone takes the time to look they will see it is unwarranted and he made some poorly mixed great music but he had a lot of substance. He is a more successful personality than rapper and I dont think here is anything wrong with that, he isn't looked at in rap in the same vein as say a Will Smith. He will be aight

Don't get me wrong. I'm happy for his success but it sucks that history will remember him as a media guy and not an MC. I personally believe Joe Budden is an all time great and made some of the most emotionally driven personal music hip hop has ever seen. Just kinda sucks his impact on the game will be remembered as media guy
