oh yeah forgot south is close to canary
funny you mention the new canning town buildings , i took this shoot 4 years ago when they just built the red micro chip building, but now that area has like 5 new big buildings, its mad

:mjlol: at 'micro chip' building. Yh Canning Town getting mad regeneration along with the rest of the city.

Every town centre is getting high rises. Looks dope in some areas such as Stratford, Elephant & Castle and Croydon, but we all know that this is nothing but gentrification. Most of the flats in these buildings get bought up instantly by ppl who are balling, but mostly just for the sake of investment leading to the flats staying empty

Either way, sounds dope. Very rare have i been in tall buildings but believe me, I always make the most anytime i do get the oppurtunity

Do you have any photos of the view from your time working there that you dont mind sharing?

I understand that there are office rules and you cant take photos or share them so if not, I understand

Props to ppl in this thread for putting me on to some decent skylines that i didnt even know about

So many beautiful cities, I always only hear the negative side to them such as crime/corruption, but ppl, recognise what you have in front of you, even if you dont feel you have time to admire it, just relax and enjoy the view during the sunset.

Just researched, didnt realise the Terminal Tower (second tallest building in the city with it's higher floors lit up different colours) was the tallest in the world outside NYC until the mid 60s

It's looks great downtown when it's all lit up, my fave is the wine & gold Cavs colors. Took this a few nights ago...

We have some rooftopper photographers in the city that get some seriously amazing skyline shots.

Wells Fargo Center (was One Wachovia Center at the time). I worked on the 7th floor but would occasionally go up to floors in the upper 20's for meetings.View was sick.

Didn't take any pics, (this was 2006-2008).

They were building the Duke Energy Center while I was working there, it was supposed to be the new bank HQ, but Wachovia became insolvent and got bought out by Wells Fargo, which kept the corporate HQ in Cali.

View was sick

. Unless I stand still like a statue, i could never capture something like that. Do you use a tripod?

And rooftoppers, as in the ones that break in to buildings and climb to the top? Dem man around the world who do that are brave as hell and yh they get some really good shots.

See atleast you appreciate the views you saw. Always been jealous of ppl who work in highrise offices and the view that they get. Then again if I just play my cards right, I could probs get into several skyscrapers in London.

Fair enough, just had to try my luck. Oh ok, i think i know the wells fargo towers in Los Angeles if thats where the corporate headquarters are (I did a drawing of the glass being blown off one of the towers in some Hollywood style scene).

Maybe not in Charlotte, but is there such thing of a sort of open day in American cities where you can book and get a tour around several towers in the city? They have something like that in London called 'Open House'
