My building is pretty chill. Nice mix of young professionals and a few young families. Brick walls for the noises etc.

But the rent in NOthern Virginia is :damn:

Hilarious how there are noise ordinances and people will complain about music being too loud but no one ever reports the guy with the movie theatre in his living room. Has a friend looking out his window like :wtf: just happened, then i realize someone, somewhere in the complex is watching Avengers.

I had to start checkin dudes over parking spaces. I will fight you over that shyt. If u a resident and u see me in a space for an extended period of time and then u decide to park in my shyt one day. Disrespectful as hell.

I'm considering moving out my apt. I work graves so when I come home to sleep the kids usually outside by 3 n summer is here. Smh
But it's ok. Live on the top floor under me is vacant. And it's mostly single mom's living here. :win: got reserved parking. Me n my roommate got a spot. But rent is high as fukk. Idk where ya paying 600 for a one bedroom but here in the bay area. A nice one bedroom not going for less than 1100.

fukk all Yall people with town homes for what I pay for a one bedroom. It's demonic.

Only real issue I have is heavy footed people upstairs and a couple of ratchet neighbors.

I am at the point where I'm thinking about a house, but I dunno. Kind of enjoy my rent only being $400.

You guys are gonna hate me, because I'm that noisy neighbor with the music blasting..until I got my 4th notice last month and this time they talking eviction so my music hasn't been up that loud since then..I also have a speed bag on the wall, but no ones ever said anything about the noise..

Ya apartments suck because you can't have house parties..but i get free utilities and free Internet so it's not that bad..plus I'm fukking the escort down the hall now so it's gotten better..

gettin ready to rent a 2 bed room small townhouse for $840....right outside the city, but right next to outlets/lot of stuff...can walk to a good bar :smugfavre:...basement (unfinished) but ill prob make it my "gym"...living room, kitchen, washer/dryer in the place...2 bedrooms upstairs...in a nice little neighborhood

Just for myself of course...no more roommates. Single right now, so its literally 2-3 miles from the good "hang out" bars..can take a cab. Just waiting on my credit check to come back, im sure ill get it...bout to be :eat: this summer

people always say "why rent for that much when u can buy"....guess what. I dont feel like "buying a house and fixing it up"...i dont feel like paying property tax/all utilities/ect/ect....i dont have money to put down for down payment to get a cheaper mortgage..and ill buy a "nice" house when i find a girl wth a good job to settle down with and we can split that rent and buy something nice :ahh:

My Sh!t is like $1,100 bucks
I stay in the suburbs of one of the worst cities in the country (Flint Michigan) in one of the most racist segergated counties in the country. Rent here is dirt cheap. Hell a 30 year fixed payment on a mortgage might be cheaper than my rent.

or maybe i need a better apartment.

  • noise from the people above you.
  • noise from the kids playing outside.
  • random neighbor fights you can hear from a mile away.
  • dog shyt people just leave instead of picking up.
  • community washrooms somebody is constantly in taking up all the machines.
  • coming home after work and all your usual spaces are gone.
  • people parking crooked in spaces to block you from parking next to them.
  • mystery scratches on your car you swear weren't there last time you saw it.
  • one time somebody hit my car (its totaled now) and pulled off.
  • snitch ass neighbors that can't mind their own business.
  • motherfukkers coming in your shyt twice a year for inspections / to change the filters

honestly owning a house is its own set of problems but now that i've got my money right i'm considering it. i'd hate having to shovel snow and cut grass and the constant maintenance that goes into home ownership but at least it would be my own space.

I have none of those issues aside from the dude parking crooked in spot taking up mine because he has a big ass van. Aside from that, the apartment life has been great for me. Great neighborhood definitely helps.

Bought a house last July and never looking back. No loud neighbors, park my car where I want, play my music loud if I want to. Yeah I have to mow the yard, but it only takes about 15 minutes. If something needs fixed or I need to update something I can do it myself. If I can't figure it out I'll get help. Plus the bonus. Come taxes time if you save all your receipts from Home Depot, Lowes, or bills from handymen you can take use that on your taxes.

Even though I've outgrown my neighbors (near a university) I can't really complain about my apt. Yeah, I pay $799 a mo for a small 1 bedroom 1ba, but I live on the top floor, washer/dryer built in. Overnight security along with a commercial dish account :ohlawd:

Just sucks I can't get my own parking space without paying an extra $20/mo :upsetfavre: Nice fitness center , game room , pool and beach volleyball court . shyt even got a tanning booth :whoo: Maintenance crew is a lot better now and they opened a Target across the street. Noise isn't that bad especially for being a college apartment and I live facing the street.

I know I can get a small house for the same monthly rate but I'll get that when I get a better job soon. Just been apartment living for 8 yrs now and I'm getting tired of people living up on me .
