Brooklyn keeps on taking it.
Google Maps

I browsed through random blocks in Hells Kitchen and it doesn't look like most of the post war buildings have parking garages.

And the new buildings that I see in Bushwick that I see do not seem to have off street parking, same thing with the new buildings in The West Bronx.

The LES has quite a few new buildings too and I don't recall them having parking garages.

Google Maps

Yeah I think they have curry for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and desert

The majority new high rise buildings in Hell kitchen which is the majority of the new buildings being built have parking garages. I went to John Jay and Walked past them daily.

The lower rise apartment buildings you are showing me off google maps do not make up the majority of new construction in the area. But I did say in my original post that they are going back to the older model of not including parking garages to save space and encourage less driving.

I don’t know much about the Bronx buildings but from what I’ve seen driving the Uber is that the extra large affordable apartment buildings have parking garages.

The building built between 1950 and 1990 in then Bronx also have parking garages that you can see in areas like Pelham Parkway, Castle Hill, and Morris Park.

shyt they be putting them shyts up so fast I’d bet most of them newer buildings definitely got these problems. They’re growing apartment buildings in Charlotte man., everywhere you turn there’s a new building up.

Yeah I was thinking about moving in a new one not too far from me that was built in 2016 and I read the reviews and it's complaints of thin ass walls, paint coming off walls, constant power outages, etc...everyone says that the shyt was built too fast.

Be a "Baller" and not own real estate bruhs.

Im trying to explain to dude some shyt thatll help him and he talking about a situation in a post thats got several experience gems to take at least something from and he not even paying attention to the goal it affords and looking for a zinger.

Why not? There are plenty of apartments all over Southern Florida.

Where in FL are you from?

I'm in north florida. We have apartments, but not many 5+ floor ones, and definitely not high rise condos that have a view of the city and waiting 15+ minutes for elevators. Or penthouses for that matter

I live in a 2 floor apartment on the 2nd floor and the stairs aren't bad at all

I’ve been close but you know what the sad thing is?

As much as all these mothafukkas are dead wrong and merely passing the buck the only thing everyone will harp on is when the big black guy goes crazy on nikkax. One night it was so bad I didn’t go to work the next day. I called the bytch from the management company for the first time after months of emailing and you could tell the bytch wasn’t trying to talk. She basically attempts to pass me off to the board members of the condo who throughout this process NEVER REACHED OUT TO US AFTER BEING CC’d ON EMAILS. They didn’t even as much as knock on our day to check on us. So I asked the bytch what should we do in the meantime while we wait for your attorneys to get ahold of theirs and for shyt to change?

“Call Police”

:hhh::hhh::hhh:

Honkeys are nuts. That’s not the answer for me. To me that’s an act of war. We all know nikkax in most cases react differently to Honkeys than they do to their own. I have a wife and child to be mindful of. The orderlys that work up there look dirty & you never know how a man will react if you’re directly responsible for taking away their livelihood. On top of that they work in shifts. One may get morning, the other afternoon/evening & another overnight. The noise persist 24/7 but it isn’t like they can fire everybody. Thank God my kid is a heavy sleeper though.

Lease ain’t up till May 2020

2020? :hhh:

Might be time to scan that lease line by line and look for a way out by the spring. shyt, the carpet thing is one avenue you should’ve looked at since buildings are supposed to provide that in order to somewhat suppress the noise.

At the end of the day tho, might be time to look at buying something even tho in reality can anyone really “own” something lol. But real talk at least with your spot you can make some real decisions. I’m in the last few months of a lease and can’t wait to leave because of wack neighbors and a landlord who just isn’t doing his part. And I’m ready for something more modern.

Most of them shyt are garbage and the shytty construction does not keep the noise from coming thru the floor. If anything, you want to live in an old project building they redid since them shyts have like concrete between floors, so you dont have to hear your neighbor.

But yeah I pay this expensive ass rent here in MD, in a building built in like 2014 or so, and I damn near want to assault whoever lives above me. I go upstairs and bang on their, with my joint on me of course, in case a nukka wanna act up. They never answer but they ass stop making noise. They better pray I dont find out who actually lives there cuz Im liable to go upside their head with a bat, if I do...idgaf man women old ladyt whoever...there will be blood.

Oh no! Call the cops. Your state or county may have noise laws, and when peoples dogs are making noise it is considered a violation and you can call the cops on them. After the cops, you can take them to court and the authorities can come confiscate the dogs from the owner form noise violations. Just be sure to record and document.

I was doing damn good as a shorty, better than I am now income wise. And I had my pops and big homies who were doing it much bigger than me. Owned nightclubs, restaurants in Atlanta, Miami etc. They helped me make good decisions with my money BEFORE I had it so when I did get it, I made excellent decisions. My income aint shyt right now compared to what it was then but the investments I made at 20yrs old are super straight, and are helping me even now 14 damn years later.

I currently own a townhouse but I'm thinking about selling it and buying a 1 bedroom condo. I want to travel more and I don't want to worry about maintaining a yard and I want secure parking for my 2 cars.

fukk apartment life. I dont miss that shyt one bit. Was in one 5 years ago while doing nursing school and will never go back. Wifey and i just moved to our new house 2 weeks ago after renting a condo to help save up for a house. Doing all the upgrades and upkeep yourself is :blessed:

fukk relying on some fat lazy ass manager to fix things
