Most people that could afford $300/month membership would have built thier own gym by now


I know I did.

Spent $1500 on a cage
About $900 on weights and a bar
$500 on an elliptical
$900 on an airdyne bike
$50 on a landmine

For the price of a 7 month membership you could get your own cage and weights.

The only reason I was paying $50/month instead of building my own gym was because it was more cost effective.

a lot of people like going to the gym and being around people though

I built it during covid while gyms were closed. Before covid I justified not building one because it didn't make sense financially if I was paying $50/month. For $50/month I wouldn't break even for 3.5 years on the cage alone. 6.5 years if I added cardio equipment
