Kasino, when you workout at night do you take a Whey Shake or a Casein Shake? Sometimes I mix both


Take whey before and after work outs...Take casein before bed. Whey acts faster (usually 30 mins) where as casein takes time to digest (up to 8 hours).

That was my question. Because problem is, I can't workout til late evenings (8:00 - 9:00PM.) So I don't want to take Whey at 10:00 (post work-out) and then take Casein one hour later when going to bed

well in that case,take casein in the morning and whey at night

@Kasino416, I travel a lot and I spend weeks, sometimes months, in hotels without the ability to cook. I usually get a rotisserie chicken from the grocery store and work on that and spinach for lunch and dinner. I probably could microwave a sweet potato to get some carbs in, but do you have any ideas on what I should do for breakfast?

How do you guys feel about Carb cycling? I've been hearing a lot about it. Do any of you practice this?

I eat what I want just in moderation. I'm not trying to be a beach model. Just better than the average, I have a nice little body so far just need to work on my mid section a little more. I've been neglecting cardio.

Also, another question: How important are taking additional BCAA's (in addition to the ones that are included in Whey Protein?)

I've been eating under maintenance, working out 3-5 times a week... I'm satisfied with where I'm at but I feel like I need to be tighter. I'm big but I wish I was a little more cut. I'd have to kick up cardio and really, reeeeeally not eat what I want on the weekends. Its a goal. But is it one I really want to achieve?
