exactly. And im a person who lives in unincorporated Atlanta (dekalb county) and i was able to Deebo my way into voting. The major issue is the field was too crowded. There was like 6 brehs running and they split the vote. The only white candidate was Mary Norwood. She doesn't have much of a chance of winning IMO, but if cats wasn't being so selfish and dropped out when they knew they had no chance (Michael T. Sterling, John Eaves, Kwanza Hall), maybe there would be no run off. I voted for Keshia Bottoms only because i thought she was the best candidate that had a chance of winning. She knows my wife's ppl, and she is a decent person. All of the candidates were flawed. I just dont want that CAC Mary Norwood to win. Not only is she a elitist cracker, she is also a Republican.

All of the shyt about gays and AIDS and other stuff is just typical ATL bashing that has nothing to do with the topic.

Nah Amen and woolard also ran. Amen would have killed norwood but he is an unknown. Woolard won midtown and east Atlanta. It would be interesting to see where the woolard votes go since she came in 3rd

Many if not most blacks look to atl as the unofficial, reigning black capital, and honestly, it is... so a natural interest is there and on this Web site a warped unnatural interest, too. Many, if not most folks, have family and friends there and visit often, such as myself. So that adds to the interest...

But yeah, on the surface, it says so much that there were six black candidates... however, splitting the vote like that ain't wavy.

Well i didnt even know Aman was white lol, and i didn't include Woolard because she ran more on the LGBT tip then the white identity candidate like Norwood did. The midtown vote will go to Keisha. East Atlanta will probably go to Norwood imo

At this point I’m not even going to act like I know what can happen. This should be a wake up call and it shows how much of a joke the black bougie class is.

Ceaser, kwanzaa, and Keisha should NOT all be running at the same time. They arent even old so no reason for one to run for mayor, the other as city council prez and the other wait their turn.

The problem was, nobody had a chance to really differentiate themselves from the pack because the field was so large. Nobody was looking at the big picture to say "The numbers say im not going to win, the most important thing is that we have a black progressive mayor". Mary Norwood is a Trump supporter, and now she got a chance to win in a heavily democratic, diverse city.

Keisha Bottoms stood out as the only female black candidate, then the endorsement from Kasim.
