I like Quinn. And I'm hoping and betting the new regime won't throw Abdullah in the bushes. It was clear to me that Caldwell decided to bury Abdullah and blame him for shyt when in reality our shytty ass o-line coach and conservative playcalling were to blame. Abdullah with proper blocking will be good. Yes I still think we should draft an RB too, I'm just saying cutting Abdullah would be stupid.

This would be complete bullshyt. Why the fukk would we get rid of a 24 year old Abdullah to pay a premium for a 27 year old Lewis that has an ACL history, same size as Ameer and is half as explosive. If we arent going all the way up to spend for Bell, dont pay for a vet RB, draft them and exploit their rookie deal like good teams do. Caldwell has a long history of trash run games and Cooter like whamming Abdullah right into the middle of the line on predictable run downs. Everything that made him a 2nd round pick is still there for a good coaching staff to utilize. Spend the money on the fukking pass rush

Andullah trash, look forward to seeing him go. But i wouldn't be surprised if we got a rook and signed an experienced back too. Our rb depth is awful. I'd love to get Bell but i don't think Quinn's gonna make that kinda investment in a rb. Think the pass rush will definitely be addressed though.

I'm bugging, must be. Quinn is about accountability? Publicly saying it too and not dodging interviews. Someone from the organization needs to give Valenti an interview. That's when I know that ii is real. Say what you want about him but he has a top ten show across the nation and while i don't like all that msu whining he's doing currently, I fukk with him.

Dunno. I would have agreed a few years ago but Valenti has in some ways become what him and Terry used to clown: hot take theater. He doesn't go full retard, but having listened enough I can tell when he's being disingenuous. Especially with the NFL because sometimes he uses numbers to (accurately) prove he's right, other times he makes weird arguments that 5 seconds of research and numbers would obviously debunk.

First he told us that Quinn didn't have any power because he kept Caldwell, a move that was the obvious right move to make because it bought Quinn more time and because Caldwell was coming off a winning season. Then when the "JBC is staying" news broke he was trying to argue Quinn was forcing Patricia to keep him. So Quinn went from being dikkless/powerless to telling the most sought after coach who to hire lmao. Come on.

I agree with your sentiment about JBC but I do think he was pressured into keep Caldwell initially by Martha Ford public displays of wanting Caldwell. That being said, it worked to his favor. Two years to draft and develop the team he wants, for free basically.

Old lady Martha made Quinn keep Caldwell and Quinn wanted cooter to stay with the new coach. I wouldn’t call either of those a hot take.

So they have about $22-23 million in cap space remaining. Should they make a run at Le'Veon Bell or fill out the defense?

Bell probably cost too much. Wouldn't mind Carlos Hyde if they don't draft rb and hopefully they go hard at Sheldon Richardson. He is exactly what they need on d-line. They never got a proper replacement for Suh

FA and draft are really weak at DE. They had no choice but to franchise him

Meh, if they can't get a long term deal done by May from around 12 - 13 milly a season I do like Carolina did with Josh Norman and rescind that bytch.

I'd rather spend his money on another O-linemen, Bell and still have some left and just roll with a shyt show defense.

We also have no shot at Vita Vea or the DT from Bama the way they are shooting up these draft boards. We always say it but a trade down would be wonderful, especially if a QB drops.

Norman is a horrible example. Car went from superbowl caliber defense to one of the worst in the nfl without him. Quality Cbs, DE don’t grow on trees. Guys like Ziggy rarely hit FA for a reason

Lions don’t have a lot of glaring holes for once. Offense just needs LG and rb and it should be set. Defense desperately needs pass rushers and possible upgrade to whiteside at LB.

Lions need a DT too.

Ngata went down and the run D went to complete shyt.
