Shows that this is a trend COUNTRY WIDE not necessarily in the black community. The black race may have a higher percentage of this occurrence, but it is far from a "black issue", but more so a sign of the times. However there are some things that play into that other races don't necessarily have to deal with. Exceptionally high incarceration rates. Criminally high unemployment rates are a few things that do contribute. But as indicated in the first part, the major issue is parenting and or absentee parenting. Right now you nikkas are under this impression that the "black community" lived in a black utopia completely separate from whites and we were happy. I know what my parents went through my father lived in Bham, AL during segregation, my uncles (before they passed) told me about what they lived in the heart of the south during segregation and Jim Crow. My grandparents told me the same.

They have all said, "paraphrasing", "things were terrible back then, but we as a black people were more together and unified back then as well".

Today many many more of us are able to do better and have our kids do better. So these TERRIBLE things that you're over looking like its just an unfortunate mishap was a 50 year period that included unrelenting torture to us as a whole. You speak on logic yet you have yet to give one solid argument in regards to why you feel that Civil Rights was wrong. Cause its not integration. Integration as stated SEVERAL times before existed decades before Civil Rights was a factor. It wasn't about us living around or working with whites. We always were. why dont we concentrate on today and what we can do to better our situation in the future....

knowing history has its place and importance but it seems to me that we as a people (yes im black) spend way too much time looking back into the past instead of preparing for the future....and this leaves us behind and always playing catch up....

Intergrationism is word, simple understanding of the english language helps you understand the meaning.
Integration - the act of consuming or incorporating into a whole
-ism - suffix in the english language that added to define a school of thought or ideology.

2nd you claimed I need to talk to my grandparents to learn about how it was. I told you I don't need to talk to my grandparents, I talked to my father and uncles who lived it as well, on top of my grandparents, who said things were bad but community was stronger and unified. Period. That was to your initial charge. On top of that I never mentioned my grandfather, you seemed to have pulled this out of thin air. Another lie.
Then you make an absurd claim that I have minimized white supremacy and its effect of the black american, that extends far more than 50 years kid, when I clearly never said such a thing and have only targeted integrationism as a failure, not the fight for legal egalitarianism and an end to government forced segregation.

If the full spectrum of my argument was black were more unified you would have a point, my actual point wasn't blacks were more unified, I literally told you what my point was. Pre-integrationism blacks had an independent economic structure that allowed them to not have to rely on the white power structure, it provided black americans a buffer from total white dependence economically. Integrationism destroyed those economic power structures leaving black americans more dependent on white economic structures and this was for the worse. On top of that integrationism supported the white supremacist belief of white superiority over black, its the very foundation of integrationism. I typed this out very clearly, yet again you still have not addressed this with a logical reply, even though you've had ample opportunity to do so.

How can we move forward without tying up loose ends of the past? Cacs want us to forget about slavery, forget about reparations, forget about 40 acres and a mule,..Certainly prepare for the future but use our present to fight for justice of the past.
