YEA THE EAST WAS NO JOKE, PLAYOFFS WAS GRUESOME FOR BRON YEAR IN N YEAR OUT.. HE WAS PLAYING AGAINST TEAMS THAT WOULD MAKE THE 00 BLAZERS AND 02 KINGS LOOK LIKE D-LEAGUE TEAMS, RIGHT?

This post is all types of stupid.

so instead of naming these colossal teams that Jordan's bulls beat in the east, you name western conference teams that existed when Jordan wasn't even in the league.

And LeBron teams beat better squads than those anyway.

So basically the media and Vegas were sucking off Bron so bad back then they continuously predicted him to the get to the Finals even though they knew his team wasn’t that good? As if he was so good he could do it all himself

sounds like he got overhyped back then.

Too man smilies in your post.

People are star-f*ckers and gloss over the concept of team sports these days.

LeBron was the best player in the league and iirc, they won the regular season title. This was before people caught on that certain teams were built for the postseason. A healthy Celtics were clearly still the best team in the league, regardless of their record.

I knew the cavs weren't gonna do chit once they turned down the Amare deal because they wanted to keep JJ Hickson. I already knew Bron had one foot out t he door after t hat nonsense.

Shaq wasn’t on the Lakers when Kobe forced a trade there. He didn’t force the trade to be on a stacked team, in fact going to a team with NVE and Eddie Jones forced Kobe to the bench for a few years.

Kobe wanted to come here because he and Jerry West fell in love n/h. Jerry believed in Kobe’s talent more than anybody. That’s all it was about.

Shaq to the Lakers was official before the draft. And the Lakers were coming off of a playoff run.

Kobe clearly ran from the rookie grind and forced his way to a contender on day one. That's why his P.R. team comes up with all these excuses for that trade. One time, they even tried to say rob polenta made him do it. Lol. Fake chit.

If he goes to Charlotte or New Jersey, he would be Kyrie Irving at best - and that's without the ring.

thats untrue, the kobe trade happened before shaq signed. the trade gave the lakers more cap space and everyone knew the lakers were pushing hard for shaq but there was no agreement at that point. draft was june 28th, shaq signing was announced and news conference was held on july 18th.

Yall weren't around.

The Shaq deal was already done. They just couldn't OFFICIALLY sign Shaq until free agency opened up.

If you watched the draft, you would see that Shaq to the Lakers was the main topic. Hell. It was the first topic before they even discussed the #1 pick.

And the Lakers were already in the playoffs on top of that. Take Shaq out the equation and you still have a rookie forcing his way to a playoff team.
