A lot of what you said isn't wrong, but Coast'in sounds like a typical college student, not some high end brand whore.
Any mall or shopping area will have most of the things you need. But it is nice to visit spots like Valley Fair, Stoneridge, and Stonestown Galleria.
I don't know about most of you guys, but when I was in school, fashion had to take a back seat to more important financial matters. Money went to learning about new things and places, not Polo gear.
And I'm laughing at anyone who's scared to go to Southland.
Yes, all those things happened. Not downplaying murder, but those were not random acts of violence. I've been going to that mall since I was a child, never seen anything happen to an innocent person. I will go there by myself and have no fear whatsoever.

im still SMH @ the fact that anyone would recommend SOUTHLAND MALL... if dude is in the berkeley area, he can take bart into downtown SF and be at the powell station in 20 minutes and have access to literally EVERY store in southland aside from garbage ass kohls/sears/jcpenney. and he'll get there faster without getting on a bus after to go to that mall
gap, old navy, footlocker, champs, niketown, adidas, hollister, guess etc etc
not to mention better food options, better scenery, better btches, better everything.
money isnt an issue at union square/westfield sf.. u have teens shopping at oldnavy and h&m right next to rich ppl shopping at barneys and neiman marcus.

this concept sounds foreign to me (it's probably just the naive southerner in me)
Liberal Berkeley chick
