Easily one of the toughest years to call.

This was one of those years where a lot of major guys dropped albums but head and shoulders above there was not one guy who stood out more. People will say X, Jay, Em, Juvi, Nas etc but no one ran it for the entire year.

The GOAT dropped Nastradamus that year and even though it's not the worst album in history like some claim, it's rushed, unfocused, uneven, and just plain mediocre by Nas standards. So even though I Am is dope he didn't keep up the consistency....

Vol. 3 might be my second least favorite Jay-Z album behind Magna Carta. Even though it's got Hov Song intro/outro which ironically, is one of dopest intro/outros in Hip Hop history...

I'm going with Mos. Black On Both Sides is. EXTRA smooth with the lyrics. Mos flowed effortlessly on that joint
