You & your wife are just boring ass people that need to be around other people, sounds like WFH exposed something.nikka we not struggling. Y’all be talking about gas and going out like y’all can’t do shyt with these prices. Working from home, that shyt is just boring, simple as that.
I’ve been blessed that my commute has never been more than 45 minutes each way, and most often was under 30 minutes. But I’m also a lawyer so it’s no uncommon for me to drive an hour or more each way for depositions, mediations, trials. I’ve never shown up to the first day of trial and told the judge I was too spent from being in the car for 90 minutes and that we would need to continue the trialMany people who suffer these commutes are spent before they've even sat at their desks, they're spending time in the kitchen making coffee and trying to decompress. It's something you've accepted as the cost of doing business because that's a part of office life. It's wasteful.
It's pretty telling that you can't imagine how commutes to and from work are negatively impacting productivity. People are in offices dreading the traffic they'll have to deal with just to get home and then all of the non-work obligations like cooking and cleaning, things wfh people can casually knock out during the same space of time you'd waste at the water cooler talking to people you wouldn't even speak to outside of work
over priced cafeterias and parking meter gang down horrendous right nowsaid it before, as soon as you leave the house people are tapping your pockets. think about all the different industries dependent upon you leaving the house and driving around every day. These people are definitely crying about this shyt behind the scenes.
This is real hypothetical. How often does this even happen in the office? It also swings both ways. One good thing about being at home is that there are certain people (one in particular) who I know to avoid. There are heartless folks in the office environment who need somebody to put down to make themselves look good.If your resume is shaky, you already behind the 8ball..
The CERTIFIED cream of the crop and the nikkas who are plugged in are good money...
if you been slacking on the macking, you better hit the road and make it happen
It's a golden opportunity for the shaky resume nikkas to hit the next level in whatever field that BENEFITS from an office culture...

Why are you a corporate bootstraps bootlickers, that like office politics CACs?
People with responsibilities are not going back to the old status quo. Whoever try to spread lies about that, obviously is scared of the TRUTH. Even some (progressive) companies know that the morale of their employees and the best/most dedicated workers are on the line, and taking away WFH could destroy their structures inside out.
took a massive paycut. one of the healthiest things i've ever done for myselfI ain't going back. Would rather take a (slight) salary cut than go back to being around noisy middle managers and passive aggressive cacs all day![]()
i bet the insurance companies probably complaining more than anybody. they not justified charging them high ass rates if people weekly driving drop by 90%.over priced cafeterias and parking meter gang down horrendous right now
i love to see it
Damn what do you do that makes you not care about those hours and parking? You in the NBA or some shyt? What could be that fun.Btw, my job BEEN stopped remote work… mainly because some old fukk walked into one of our offices and only one person was in there.
He got tight and petitioned that everyone needs to be back in the office (This was before Delta).
So now, remote work is only for “emergencies” and contractors can’t even do it. Only reason I don’t mind is because I don’t mind the job and work 10 hour days. So I can’t complain (plus it’s military).. and I get to work out on my breaks.
But every fukking day I have to be there an hour early to look for parking.
I get that it’s better for most to not have to commute. I actually enjoy the alone time in the car listening to music, but not everyone is like me. I also remember some frustrating days getting stuck in traffic, etc. i hear you.Because you, like many other Americans have to suck it up and perform in spite of whatever happened prior to you "clocking in."
It's okay to want better than what we've had in the past.
Proximity wins in all circles...
The janitor who sweeps the ceo's office can help you quicker than any computer ever could
You can lead from home and be forgotten or you can lead from home and wherever else you need to be and create leverage for yourself
I just like what I do but need to do/learn more.Damn what do you do that makes you not care about those hours and parking? You in the NBA or some shyt? What could be that fun.![]()
