I guess that makes sense...Powerlifters tend to be short.

Im just coming off a 9 month cut...
6'1 (long legs & arms) 178 lbs

Current lifts im working with

DL - 390 X 3
Squat - 245 X 8
Bench - have no idea...I dont even fukk w/ the Barbell bench that much because it never felt right. I would imagine I could rep out 175.
if barbell doesn't feel right you should try my stretch, rest, and cayenne peppers routine

How much did you weigh before the cut?

DL should def be close to your squat. If it's a lot higher u either have gorilla arms or terrible form. Most competitive PLers I follow squat and dead about the same

I do want to try my hand at PLing eventually.

Disagree. On average DL is like 80-100 lbs heavier than the squat. The only times I see them close is when the guy's a manlet sumo puller, the lifter competes in wraps, which gives a ridiculous boost to the squat, seldom DLs, or you have a massive gut.

Go powerlift man, it's so much fun

You would know better than me. Maybe the bodybuilders who PL that I follow (Ogus, 3DMJ guys, Layne) are exceptions to the rule....

Once I get as lean as I want I will give it a shot. Sucks that there is such a huge gap.... I would probably compete in the 181 class though I think I could probably be competitive.

Problem is my CNS is :trash:.... I get fried after like 3 weeks of low volume high intensity lifting :francis:

well I don't train for 1RM but I do train for my strength weeks for 4 reps for bench and squats. 3 reps for deadlifts.

Bench - 217
Squat- 317
Deadlift - 245

I used the 1RM calculator for the bench and squa ones. I think I could get 225 as my 1rm for my bench, but I think my squat would be lower then 317. Also I don't use any assistance and use a double overhand grip for my deadlift so that is why it is lower then it could be.

my legs have caught up but at my age and current situation my upper body will never be what it once was

currently:
squat: 315 1RM
dead: 405 1RM
bench: 275 ( i hit for 2 reps, don't think i'd push it past that)

all time bench max was 315 before shoulder surgery

i'm 6'0" and currently about 205lbs
