acacia: the war with the mein, is the last fantasy book I read with characters who were of color. basically the opposition is white skinned savages and white people from the north.
the main characters are from a hybrid nation born from what constitutes africa in our world, so straight hair,brown skin,and a mix between facial features.
speaking to the topic more directly though, I'd love to get more black focused casts in fantasy/science fiction. I can be picky when it comes to those genres, but a larger black cast will get an automatic look from me even if I'm not feeling the premise that much
