He did not lip sync at either show and is easily the best showman and dancer I have ever seen.
I have never seen Beyoncé live (not counting the Super Bowl etc)
That said: Michael Jackson imo is the greatest artist of all time from voice, to how involved he was with the music, to his obsessive practicing and rehearsing to be the best and because he was a superstar from a young child until death with an endless list of worldwide hits with worldwide appeal. He appealed to all races, religions and transcended age barriers.
Betoncé is the best artist and performer of this generation, no doubt. One big differentiating factor is that MJ set trends, he had a very unique sound and look (the glove, the red jacket etc) and he had signature dance moves.
Beyoncé does a bit of both when it comes to music, she will set a trend (Single Ladies, Ring The Alarm) but often her sound rides a popular wave that blows up because she rides the wave - which obviously fits way better with today’s unappreciative, impatient, trend sensitive generation.
People who say ‘I don’t want to hear about Michael Jackson’ probably are the exact reason why Beyoncé has to be sure her sound fits radio - that said she is obviously amazingly talented, charming and is today’s best recording and performing artist (which includes her being a top notch dancer and Producer who gives key input to the other Producers/Beatmakers/Musicians on her records)
But there will never be another MJ as far as worldwide impact and skill level, talent level.
Edit: just checked that Bulgaria tour intro video of MJ standing still on stage and a stadium of people completely losing their mind. I was not clear English enough: nobody comes close to Michael Jackson and nobody ever will. What a once in a lifetime artist - blessed to have witnessed his genius artistry two times live
