money shouldnt really have anything to do with humility. our society is just fukked up. you need knowledge (of self) first and foremost and once you realize in the grand scheme its an means to an end then you will see the question is highly subjective.

I make twice as much as my cousin. but I have a wife and 3 kids to support and put through school, he doesnt. I have a Nissan and a Ford. He feels the need to floss and has an Infinity and a Beemer. he has self-esteem issues. it depends on the type of person you are. if it were just me, I would probably feel like I was rich. I mean I have a nice home now and nice things...but you couldnt tell my income by looking at me or what I drive. sometimes I am sure people think I probably make 25k or less. :mjlol:

if I were in my cousins shoes, knowing what I know now, I would be stacking and investing in my own business instead of working for some wack company like him making 50k per year. when we out in public, he outshines me, cuz I dont give a fukk about that shyt. yet he always be asking if my company got a job for him cuz he want to make more money. :snoop:

Yea nobody's answered this yet. How do you stay humble when your family/friends are broke. If you're known to have money I imagine you've now become the bank for all your people. At a certain point it has to drag you down.

It's simple. Don't tell your family how much you make and / or act humble. Do you think my family knows how much my Gucci loafers cost or what my year end bonus was? Hell, some of my family is so ignorant, they think I'm a bank teller and not an investment banker :dead: Let em continue to think this way so they don't come to me for money.

As someone already mentioned the fact that we live in a system of white supremacy & the rug can get pulled from beneath you at any time should ground you. Also maturity is huge. Having a mature attitude towards making 75k & over helps. A good friend of mine recently passed :mjcry: Beautiful wife, 2 beautiful kids, & he worked for the UN. He was easily banking well over six figures. He ended up taking his own life bruh's. Making money won't make you happy if you're not grounded or happy with yourself.

I know 75k ain't shyt. All I do when it comes to money is to make sure my immediate family is straight. I really don't even spend money on myself like that. It's just 75k.

Sometimes I forget the coli ain't real life....

If you think 75k ain't shyt you should consider moving to "fly over country"

Down south 75k will get you everything you need and a decent amount of what you want.

Hell $17.00/hr will have the females
:leon:

I think what people mean is "you can't splurge and be irresponsible off 75k" and I think they're correct

I make 97k...but I live in the DC metro area, so it really doesn't go as far as some make think.

This.

My manager was broke as fukk and he made 90s to 100s.

75k is amazing but it doesn't make you rich

Its not about how make you make. Its about how you spend it.

Personally, i make close to 85k and it feels like enough and i feel secure but until my debt is clear and i got racks in the bank i dont feel comfortable.

On top of that, i work for a big company so anything can happen :manny:

But it does feel great coming from where im from :whoo:

Im modest and humble and a minimalist though and i got ptsd from the hood so im frugal as fukk :noah:

I want a new car but mine has 5 payments and i dont wanna owe any money to anyone :damn:

I’m a 6 cert, 6 series, 6 figure nikka

And I still remember the days of eating baked beans and plain rice. I still buy discounted food and clothes.

But I’m going to wild out everyone once and again because I know where I been from

But I also know as a First gen black British person it can all go away In a second. I don’t own propert, land, no family history here. So that keeps me humble

I don't feel like I make a lot in comparison to others. But my life is incredibly comfortable making what I do. Haven't made a late payment on anything in 4 years. I think I'm more grateful than anything. I'm generous to my friends that are loyal and my family. My salary is over 75k but I'm not sure how long that money will be once I actually get married, and have kids so I'm always looking for ways to make more.

When u make six figures but your mentors make 7-8 figures.

Thats what keeps me humble.

I make over 100k a yr and couple weeks ago I had to borrow 100$ from my wife.

Checking account was :usure:

Didn’t want to dip in savings.

I got BILLS!!!!! :mjcry:

I make $96k but with child support it's like i make $46k.

Last week, I got a job offer for $98k:hhh:.....told them I need a minimum of $120k:win:

Still haven't heard back from them:lupe:

100k up north
125k in the bay

And do you feel obligated to help your struggling ass family?

:jbhmm:

Cuz usually when u make that much, ur social circle is filled with people equally, if not more successful

I pull in six figs, and in my immediate circle got two self made millionaires

And I got a few colleagues pulling in 200k-300k annually with benefits
