It’s literally be like Derwin James winning “Best DB” when he’s a 2nd team all proThey forget that Gasol wasn't even considered the best center at defense yet won the award...
Also in the thread @Remote made about the thinking basketball video nikkas were saying why value the the opinion of mfs who didn’t play now they are saying that mfs who did play opinion on having kd or kobe super high is invalid smh always moving the goal post
Hes the best scorer on the team he's supposed to lead and shot attempts. Meanwhile, his free throw attempts went down as Detroit contended, showing an obvious change in style of play and aggression since the shots that result in free throw attempts do not count.I'm not sure I buy into that argument that Zeke sacrificed his stats.
Zeke led the Pistons in shot attempts in
1983-84
1984-85
1985-86
1986-87
1987-88
1988-89
1989-90
Then finally fell to 2nd on the team behind Joe Dumars in 1990-91, by which point Thomas was 29/30 years old.
It's also baffling to me to bring up this sacrificing argument for Zeke, when Tony Parker spent most of his career deferring to Duncan.
I'm not sure you can have it both ways. Zeke was either the driving force behind those Pistons teams, or he was a sacrificing floor general leader.
He couldn't possibly be both.
Hes lying. There are more people that will say Kobe is the GOAT than say he isnt top-10Never heard of Kobe outside the top 10. On thecoli or outside of it.
Lots of stars today got to play with Jimmy Butler(scottie 2.0) and they didn't achieve the same level of successIf only everyone could peak with the right team during the expansion era![]()
I respect your viewpoint, but I cant put a guy like Parker over Isiah, when Isiah was the franchise player. Tony was never the man on San Antonio. He may have had some higher scoring seasons as TD was getting older, but it was always Dincan's team. Thats a huge difference!! Isiah came to an awful franchise, when the Eastern Conference was loaded. Boston, Philly and Milwaukee. My thought process is that I think the gap between Isiah Thomas and Tony Parker is negligible -- if there even is one.
That's not to say that I think Tony Parker one of the most elite basketball players ever, and thus belongs in Tier 1 or Tier 2.
It's to say that I think Isiah Thomas belongs in a lower Tier...possibly even unlisted on a board like this.

He sure can, but if there is only one big piece of chicken left he aint getting it at that table.Idgaf what anybody says, Bean can sit at the same table as Mike and DEFINITLEY lebron
Did LeBron?Lots of stars today got to play with Jimmy Butler(scottie 2.0) and they didn't achieve the same level of success
He fought, clawed and scratched to become a contending. Walked Boston down, after several disheartening defeats. and then beat the Lakers to finally win it all. Parker went to a team with a prime, MVP franchise player, who had just won an NBA title, two years prior.I respect your viewpoint, but I cant put a guy like Parker over Isiah, when Isiah was the franchise player. Tony was never the man on San Antonio. He may have had some higher scoring seasons as TD was getting older, but it was always Dincan's team. Thats a huge difference!! Isiah came to an awful franchise, when the Eastern Conference was loaded. Boston, Philly and Milwaukee.
Lebron played with/is playing with people that are better than scottie.Did LeBron?
There's no way you can definitively place him above Shaq. Shaq had a higher peak, Shaq won more championships as a #1, and Kobe was Shaq's #2...
There's no way you can definitively place him over Duncan. Duncan's peak was in line with Kobe, Duncan won more championships as a #1. There was a stretch from 1998-99 thru 2003-04 where it was Duncan and Shaq as the best player in basketball. By the time Kobe ascended into that conversation in '05, he was doing shyt that neither Shaq or Duncan did at their apex---->missing the playoffs and losing in the first round...
I'm okay with any arrangement of Kobe, Shaq, and Duncan, they're interchangeable and I go back and forth on how I rank them myself. I lean Duncan ahead of both because Kobe and Shaq had each other, but if someone puts one of them a slot over Duncan, it's not the craziest thing...
It's at least a conversation with Steph, too. Steph peaked higher than Kobe and was the second best player if his era. Hakeem peaked higher than Kobe and was the second best player of his era. Both of those guys have various career accomplishments that can be argued push them ahead of Kobe...
I'm glad you moved away from that irrelevant first comment. 2 rings with Wade before Wade's body broke down. 1 ring with AD at a stage of Bron's career where his own durability and availability faded, taking them out of contention.Lebron played with/is playing with people that are better than scottie.
