considering his age and the era he grew up in I think this is pretty fair. Pretty good list.. I agree with some of y’all magic and Larry should be same tier tho. Kobe my top 10, but I get it

I don't see how it's disrespectful to compare a 2 time champion to a 4 time champion and one of the greatest -- if not the greatest finisher at the basket.
It's disrespectful because
A) You said there's nothing Zeke does better and he only shot more. We know Zeke sacrificed his stats to win and finishing is probably the only thing Parker is better at.

Tony was not the best player for his four rings. Zeke was historically unique as the only little guy to be the best player for multiple rings...until Steph.
Who did they lose against?
What were their other defensive stats?
Unlike Stern's darling they weren't in serious DPOY contention despite doing what he did.

Playing at 40 plus and still has:

2 rings
2 finals mvps
1 dpoy
1 mvp
4 defensive first teams
9 scoring titles
3 steals titles
1 slam dunk title

To catch what mike did in 15 years..
If only everyone could peak with the right team during the expansion era :wow:

Pretty silly considering that majority of those are either team or media awards

Lebron should have won a DPOTY, he’s VASTLY a far more versatile defender snd is a better defender

MJ ain’t switching on Duncan after holding down Prime Rose the series before

They forget that Gasol wasn't even considered the best center at defense yet won the award...

Scoring titles like Bron isn't the all-time leading scorer in history.

I'm not sure I buy into that argument that Zeke sacrificed his stats.

Zeke led the Pistons in shot attempts in
1983-84
1984-85
1985-86
1986-87
1987-88
1988-89
1989-90

Then finally fell to 2nd on the team behind Joe Dumars in 1990-91, by which point Thomas was 29/30 years old.

It's also baffling to me to bring up this sacrificing argument for Zeke, when Tony Parker spent most of his career deferring to Duncan.
I'm not sure you can have it both ways. Zeke was either the driving force behind those Pistons teams, or he was a sacrificing floor general leader.

He couldn't possibly be both.
