Nobody has Isiah as a top twenty player
:mjlol:
No disrespect.
:whoa:
I think it consensus that he had a better career than Stockton, Kidd, Paul, and Nash. He is behind Jerry, Steph, Magic and Oscar. So he is a solid top 5 PG. Can't touch MJ and Kobe. Has he had a better career than Wade?
:patrice:
So if he's top 8 guard of all time, that means there are more than 12 forwards and centers with a better career. You can easily name 12 better careers. Plus people are crowning KD, Giannis and Jokic as top 15 already.
:pachaha:
Zeke is still top 30 IMO.
Positions don't dictate all-time ranking.
I can't think of anything Isiah Thomas did better than Tony Parker. He just took more shots.

:hubie:
As someone who thinks Tony is underrated, you being disrespectful in here.

Kobe was never liked by the media he was never gonna b in the GOAT conversation. They had to respect him due to his 2 titles without Shaq. If that didn't happen he'd be getting pissed on 3x's worse.
Kobe was a media darling,.pre Colorado. Please stop with this notion that the media always disliked him when he was hailed as the "next MJ", heading into the 96 draft..

At the very least, Isiah is a wayy better floor general/passer.
My thought process is that I think the gap between Isiah Thomas and Tony Parker is negligible -- if there even is one.

That's not to say that I think Tony Parker one of the most elite basketball players ever, and thus belongs in Tier 1 or Tier 2.
It's to say that I think Isiah Thomas belongs in a lower Tier...possibly even unlisted on a board like this.
