This was Byron's play calls every drive this last season:

1st down - Fournette HB dive for loss/no gain
2nd down - Godwin screen for 3 yards
3rd down - Deep pass to Mike Evans called back for Holding #76
3rd down and long - Incomplete pass to Russell Gage or Cade Otton in the middle of the field OR HB sweep with Rachaad White/Fournette
4th down - Camarda punt

Every single drive in 1Q-3Q was some variation of this. Dude's play calling was mad predictable. I said it in another thread. He needs to go work outside of the Bruce Arians coaching tree because it's clear his offense is predictable now.

Almost impossible for an offense to be successful under the circumstances Tampa had. Interior OL was decimated before the season even started and their LT became terrible. Can't function like that with an old immobile QB.

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
Bowles up next. Arians saw what was coming and bailed so the brehs would take the fall :mjpls:

They went all in, got a ring and had another good year last year but that roster is :flabbynsick: and need to be rebuilt. They gonna be awful in 2023 and the GM gonna let Bowles take the heat for that
They should’ve bailed with him.

People who aren’t knowledgeable of the Bucs are suggesting that the play calling was only sus this year…

Even the two years prior when were averaging over 30+ ppg, the fanbase had pointed out the vanilla playcalling. They were winning and blowing teams out by sheer talent.

The 2020-2021 Bucs had arguably a top 10 offense all-time talent wise when you look at the o-line & skill positions

They should’ve bailed with him.

Bowles like 60, he got a ring in Tampa and gonna get a nice retirement package out the deal either way

Leftwich, if it was for real he had the Jags job but backed out over Baalke, yeah he fumbled the bag. But can't really blame him, Jax was seen as a no win situation and brehs almost never get a second chance as HC

You couldn't execute this year its not about playcalls

Your offensive line was a mess and Fournette, who needs a hole and can't make stuff happen on his own got bottled up all season cause they wouldn't commit to running the football. Mike Evans missed a beautiful bomb done the sideline the other night..

Brady is a 45 year old man and he throwing the ball 66 times and has the most pass attempts in the league the last two seasons :mindblown:

Why did Brady get Julio?? He's been done for 4 years now..

No AB and No Gronk either

Recipe for disaster

Don't get me wrong, I know all the personnel issues we had. But Byron ran an offense with the worst rushing statistics in the last 30 or 40 years. He continuously kept running HB dives knowing how bad the line was to "establish the run." shyt wasn't working for 18 weeks straight. It's on him to figure something out, but he kept trying to plug a square block into a round hole.

If me, a fan, can guess what play calls were coming then there's no doubt the opposing defensive coordinator could too.

Rachaad White was also miles better than Fat Lenny, but Fat Lenny kept getting more carries.

He did try something different. He got Tom Brady with the most Passing Attempts in history. What did you want him to do? Run the ball even less?

You gotta commit to running the ball even when you get stuffed. They probably played Fournette more because he was probably better at pass protection which alot of young RBs are not good at. I think Brady is more comfortable with Fournette because of the SB season. Last thing the Bucs wanted was some young back in there missing a block and getting Brady killed.

Things just fell apart man football is cruel sometimes

Byron called a running play(which was gonna be a TD) but Brady ad-libbed with no else's knowledge except Godwin, including Byron. Interception

For those who may wondering who the real OC was this year, this play alone will answer your question

Lol got 2 lineman blocking hard as shyt 5 yards up the field confused as fukk when no running back is behind them
