As an engineer grad, Cal 2 will make you or break you. I had to take that mafucca twice. Cal 3 was a piece of cake, and diff eq’s is like a foreign language. Don’t know how I got through that

Breh, I discovered KhanAcademy and a couple other sites for Cal 1 & 2, otherwise I'd have looked at all those equations like....:damn::mindblown::whoa::sadbron:

I took courses at night so we got NO additional help from faculty. 1 week, half the class dropped-out.

Cuz someone explain what’s so hard about organic chemistry?

I did some of it in high school and it didn’t seem too difficult.

Calc was hard but fluid dynamics was the worst shyt ever.

Organic chemistry is the same. Everyone I know that took said that they almost switched majors because of it.

Organic made me switch to accounting

When I took intermediate accounting in college, there were 24 students in our class at the beginning of the semester. By the end of the semester there were 12. Literally half the class dropped out.

Organic chemistry :hula:Intermediate accounting

I'm getting through one of these classes, fukk that! :martin::mjcry:

Point is students are just lazy and dumb. If they took the effort from clout chasing, using vapes, and playing on their iPhones, then passing basic 101 courses wouldn't be a problem..

I was a motivated student and never had this problem...

Now I'm thriving in the midst of a pandemic stacking bread and living life due my hard work.....

Zillenials are sad...

It's too many resources on campus for students to be failing out here. If you don't understand the work, go to tutoring as that's what it's there for. A lot of students probably couldn't even tell you where the tutoring places are on their college campus.

I know a lot of idiots who went to UC’s. (Not the elites like Berkeley or UCLA) but the UC Irvine’s, UC Riversides, UC Santa Cruz of the world.

Also know a lot of smart folks who went to Irvine, Santa Cruz, and more.

The only elite is Berkeley (UCLA is a commuter school) and even then. But all of em can be amazing schools (especially UCSD and Irvine) and it's a privilege to hit up the surf in the morning and a UC during the afternoon. Just a great experience.

Nothing but respect and applause for you getting through it in the circumstances you had. The material isn’t easy at all.

Half the class dropping out isn’t shocking. Cal 2 weeds out a lot of people.

Schools like Santa Monica college and other cc’s have pipelines to top uc’s but a lot of people don’t take advantage.

This is game. They have pipelines to top UCs and even good east coast private schools and all that.

SMC or schools like DeAnza or Foothill are UC feeders (and Santa Clara, Pepperdine, etc), but can also get into a stanford, usc, etc if properly motivated. With TAG, just need to meet GPA and course requirements to get in.

I heard that shyt was no joke :wow:

Let's just say I originally wanted to be a chemical engineer......

After the entrance exams at PSU, I switched to structural engineering......

...... the I switched to nursing :francis:

I went to a decent public HS and got As Bs in chemistry and physics... and I was still shook.

I got a 69.something in Orgo 1and 2. Fortunately my professor gave 1% extra credit if you completed all the home assignments on time so I ended up passing.

UC Santa Barbara has the goat location in my opinion, Isla vista and being legit steps away from sand. Close enough to LA but far enough away. You’re basically in a bubble.

I know a chick who got into Stanford from Smc. Her parents were begging her not to go to a community college but she had a plan and executed.
