A lot of those classes are frowned up on by The Coli who complain saying that they aren't needed out here in life. It's the same people out here complaining about data and concepts without trying to understand where the information actually came from.

Case in point: Coli brehs who complain about data and analytics in sports without trying to understand the context behind it.
Wtf are u talking about:mjlol:

U literally lying

The overwhelming majority of the coli speaks positively about STEM being the most important and things outside that are not worth taking in college

Yall really flat out lie on this bytch:mjlol:

Kids not prepared to take them courses because their high school education was a joke
This is the actual problem here. There's a lot that plays into it but at the end of the day the education at most public schools is a joke and does not prepare you for college.

So English classes don't matter at all out here when even the simplest of grammatical mistakes on your resume can keep you from getting a job :dwillhuh:

Look in those Coliseum threads where dudes complain about data and analytics being used in sports these days instead of actually trying to learn how the context of the information and how it was determined.......

That's not true at all. We complain because it has gotten to the point that analytics have made the game essentially a 3pt shooting contest which leads to some very ugly games.

Dudes complain more than just about that breh and even you know it :comeon:

Let's not sit here and pretend like dudes having complained and bytched because the analytics have said that one player was better than the other or that their favorite player just wasn't that good. A lot of dudes go by the "eye test" instead of actually trying to understand the context of the information.

We've had many threads and discussions like it in The Coliseum, so don't sit up here and lie.

All facts. I was an IB/AP student and went in to college with credits for English and Econ. I kind of hated the workload we had compared to other students, but that shyt was a god send when I got to college. I thought it was a joke how little I had to do comparatively. Which left plenty of extra time for... activities :mjlit:

Getting an English degree def not worth getting over a Stem 1

stem clases have a much higher importance than non stem

I have a BA degree

shyt is worthless

Luckily for me i have an extensive background from the military and various certifications

The only thing my degree helps is for management positions in the fields i work in that require any degree

So i have been leads and project management roles for IT, Telcom, Force Protection, etc. Cause it required a degree even if the degree had nothing do with the field because of my military background

I said English classes and not the major :dwillhuh:

Some people don’t even think basic English classes are even needed when the majority of people can’t even do the basics when it comes to grammar.

Calculus Make a man out of you especially Calc 2 when you have to learn all the different integration techniques and then they throw that series BS at you the end of the semester :picard:

My Calc 2 professor was this stocky 6'3" Israeli dude with a thick accent. Had to sit in the front to understand him.

Our class started with 91 students.

After the first exam, enrollment dropped to 50.

I ended up getting a B (85) in the class and it was the hardest earned B I've ever had. He always said "the only way to get better at Calculus is to do Calculus."

Dude was right. You can't really bullshyt once you get deeper into math/science. Students develop bad habits in HS and get A's by just glancing at the curriculum and cramming the night before. In college, you have to study a little bit every day. Professor doesn't always give out homework. Calc 2 we had like three exams and a pop quiz once every 2 to 4 classes.
