Where The Grass Is Blue
Rap is a genre.

Hiphop was an actual culture.

That does nor exist.
All it is that is left are the very few real bboys and we have no structure and no culture to be at.

I am still at a gate post defending this shyt, just because it is all I am and all I know.

It is a feeling of being alone for the first time. That I tried to keep from occurring.

The only thing left to do is,.....

TAKE LEADERSHIP!

When would you say was the beginning of Hip Hop dying as a culture?

Hiphop was always in extreme dire threat in the ol school way of thought from inception from Graf being raped by art houses. Before Graf was molded into hiphop kinda kicking and screaming. Yet and till the mores from art house theft extending from Graf to the other pillars. is what created the eventual turn to the new school.way of thought. Which had at one point to start to alleviate the administrative fraud encompassing the pillars businesses in full. Which was from actual knowledge being dispersed coupled with strict norms and mores which actually internally in the culture worked without fail. The problems of the ol.school were always still there outside the culture. As far as the businesses of the pillars. Yet that could have all changed for the betterment of the artist in the pillars businesses. As more artist became knowledgeable and sought admin to executive based change. To reconnect to the origins entrepreneurship spirit of the businesses of the pillars in the culture originally.

It just so happened all the pillars businesses were compromised over time to pisspoor business practices from the Headstart the ol school way of thought crippled all the businesses of the pillars originally. The businesses of the pillars of the culture after that reached a head only had distinct small.windows of time to counteract this. Yet that was all sped along at the extreme rate of change. To the pillar's businesses all being compromised when krs allowed puff to male a mockery of the emcee pillar. Thus ruining the quality of the business of rap in one fell swoop.

On that year's best record and it gave a corrosive cosign. That along with what we did not know at the time.
was transpiring with his endorsement of a pedo in the new school way of thought. When all ol school way of thought sellouts were phased out.
Plus violate the chief more of hiphop in the new school way of thought. Which was the new school way of thought was completely anti gay, and anti DJ Hollywood disco mash up.

That is what caused it.

NYC had already been lost in grassroots manner as the Mecca at our leadership. We just happened to catch an errant leader show his true colors.
to know wtf really happened and why things were what they were.
Plus why possibly and interior wise krs was never marketed on mainstream media past a certain point. As behind the closed doors. His brand opened the door to this discussion. Which enables pedos. Which he always lied and deflected upon commercial sellouts. When in reality he was the sellout.
that most of the others with Mecca envy spoke on. After they were ostracized by the mores/norms. While he went unaffected in more extreme hypocrisy. Till his lapse of public judgement.
caught up with him endorsing a pedo.

Even if the "snap" era was getting heavy play back then... Were jeezy, ti, ross, wayne, outkast and other legitimate southern hip hop artists not releasing music during this period?

Then you had the new gen at the time (wale, jcole, kendrick, drake, wiz) all starting to get buzz.

NY nikkas was just salty they wern't the epicenter of music anymore. We can go year by year and name quality albums that dropped from 2006-2012

That’s why statements like the South killed Hip Hop don’t make sense because even the pioneers was on some sellout/weirdo shyt behind the scenes.

yeah, the south killed hip hop, all these goofy southern artists with weird hair and tattoos and warbled singing -raps..like Fetty Wop, Tekashi 69, Skinny From the 9,
Designer etc. plus we all know the southern radio market is what sets the nation wide standard so gotta blame the southern radio stations like Hot 97 and Power for playing all this trap raps and bounce beats. And then you have these culture vulture soundcloud promoters from the south like DJ Akademiks and Adam22 pushing wack shyt. Yup, the south ruined it for the rest of us. "I only fukk with the real hip hop, you know Wu Tang, Redman..I don't fool with no Goodee Mawbs and I especially don't fool with no E-Four-Deez"
You're being sarcastic but this isn't false...

That's bad, but at least it was hidden/behind the scenes. Now, the sellout/weirdo shyt is front and center and poisoning the youth.

the Hip Hop heads don't unite and support authentic Hip Hop/Rap

They whine and then support the same commercial music they complain about

They wanna roll with something accepted my mainstream that is controlled by the major labels

Even the voices that claim they support true Hip Hop when they have a podcast or whatever they mention and the majority of the

content revolves around mainstream ruined Hip Hop they claim they despise 99%

Any aspiring Dj,Any Hip Hop figure it all revolves around politics and popularity ... they are trying to make a name

so they play and talk about the same low qaulity Hip Hop

Everyone wants to feel cool and go with the flow thus everyone sounding the same

The whole street vibe has settled down back when the streets and the hood use to bump what they want and make rappers blow up

Now its more internet geeks that control Hip Hop and they have piss poor taste in Hip Hop/Rap

The same steet kats are old and aint going out of their way to push some real rap

the machine seems to have control and puts out what it wants which is garbage

yeah them street kats aint gonna go out they way to rock with a rapper like T-Rock or Tommy Wright III

nah they wanna seem cool too so they go head and settle for Migos and Drake

They may bang they underground to themselves but not like back in the day when underground was more celebrated

and rappers slowly blew up on their own

Now the market is flooded as well and they don't have to earn stripes locally no more so anything can blow in this day in age

which tends to be the very music being complained about

not to mention no one really agrees on whats dope on the message boards

and when they get that push on the internet it don't blow cuz

the rappers mentioned and hyped are not as dope as the internet community may feel

so the argument continues and doesn't get the quality Hip Hop/Rap people are looking for

Jeeszy,t.i.,Wayne,Ross are good for being SOUTHERN rappers but nowhere even close to guys like Jadakiss & Beanie Sigel. Let alone being named with top tier lyricists. OutKast and Chamillionaire are the only credible LYRICISTS from that era.
