I never understood this. What brought him to hang with wyclef? Prior to that album drop I donโt recall even a hint that Clef was involved with him. II would have been better for him to get DITC, primo, maybe 1 clef song.

When I was a kid he blew my f'n mind...when I revisit the old shyt or some of his more recent shyt as a grown man tho I'm kinda on the same time you are, he wasn't alien crazy like that. Amazing vocabulary and he had one of the dopest rap voices ever, couple the voice with the aggressive battle-style content and that shyt sounds even crazier...outside of that though ehh, he's dope but not "that". Ras Kass is another one...amazing vocabulary, one of the most informed and informative rappers ever definitely, slick delivery...I just never thought his bars was alien-tier like that.
What? "Scientists got raw footage of me dodging bullets"...2 years later there's Matrix and that's the most talked about thing. Canibus said some amazing ish.
I hear you, Canibus is/was wild nice...but the level he was being put on when I was a kid by me and everybody else was more than nice. I remember in school people debating if he was better than Nas and us arguing about that shyt passionately. It was debatable a little bit during his peak back then...but now when I revisit that shyt it's stupid, lol, he wasnt even close to a Nas imo.
To me Pun was like a iller version of Canibus, he said the wild battle-esque shyt that would standout crazy but also had the crazy rhyme patterns and personality when he raps and song making ability, etc... all the other essential shyt that makes you a crazy rapper.

Lyrically overrated AF. I was a fan though, until I actually thought about what TF he was actually saying and it wasn't impressive at all. I guess if I grade on the curve he's above average.
