never, ever give these companies anything other than what you're required to do. Loyalty is non-existent. Do YOU. I been in the corporate world for almost 2 decades. From huge companies to small companies. I've seen it all. Be loyal to yourself. That's it.

fukk this guy. Terrible "leader". GTFOH and take some leadership courses. So many soft, gutless "leaders" in upper management.

At the end of the day, I can still get got but this is why I purposely work in non-profit. I still get my 6 figures but I'll gladly sacrifice about 20% more to stay with a company that isn't all about growth by any means necessary. For profit companies rock with a different demeanor that I don't like to fukk with.

Teamblind.com is a website where you can anonymously post about your company. It requires a company email to post in order to ensure you work for the company you claim.

Most people use it to discuss salary and compensation for jobs. If you want to know if a company is screwing you on a job offer. Or if the company culture is toxic it's one of the best places to post.

The CEO of Better.com who laid all those people off. Got exposed for posting on Blind.com and pretending to be a rank and file employee. In order to defend the company. Ever since employees got one of his Executives fired.

SoftBank-Backed Better.Com Places Top Executive On Leave After Bullying Complaints

No wonder the company is struggling if the damn CEO is posting on a message board all day. Because he doesn't like what employees have to say about the company.

Better.com CEO publicly attacks laid off employees, accusing them of 'stealing' by working only two hours daily

Better.com CEO Vishal Garg lays off 15% of employees right before the holidays

WTF would anyone want to work for a company like that?

I'd completely eliminate "AT WILL" termination in America. All jobs would have to have a violation system (if not already in place, most places already have one but are still "at will") and would need to give a 2 week termination period. If you refuse it, your unemployment kicks in immediately and you stop working immediately. If you want to work the last 2 weeks, you will be monitored by staff to make sure there is no sabotaging going on. If there is purposeful sabotaging, this can cause criminal charges :yeshrug:.

Would work great for both parties :ehh:

We need to unionize white collar jobs, too/

From the few people I know that work there nobody knew the CEO was psychotic. Unless you posted on Blind.com and read posts exposing him and his cronies.

The bad publicity alone will probably kill any successful IPO debut. Dude literally ruined his company over people trolling him online. I'm willing to bet these layoffs we're in part due to him being lambasted by his own employees on that forum. The way he bragged about firing so many of them in another meeting.

people don't understand how much of an impact sociopaths/psychopaths have in the world even if you think they are few in number
if they were, so what?
people are somehow not concerned it's genetic
sociopathy/psychopathy is not something that should be worshipped/promoted yet look at how many kids and young people worship that type of behavior and call you lame if you have a genuine disinterest in not proactively hurting others who haven't hurt you
that's what a lot of people's idea of fun is nowadays yet they are confused why they end up alone or lonely aka bunch of sheep and followers
a small handful of literal agents of chaos due to their overwhelming urge to be proactively apathetic, cruel, and evil can take over a planet if you are smart enough and have enough power
this is why stupidity and anti-intellectualism is promoted
easier to spread evil and sociopathy/psychopathy the more stupid people are
common sense will tell you if you are walking ruthlessness', enough intelligence and luck will get you very far
then when you have an entire family of them, or enough of them, you might go through shyt in life thinking it's all your fault when in reality you were unknowingly caught in the cross hairs of a sociopath/psychopath or warring sociopaths/psychopaths
history is littered with famous ones and they thrive during childhood hence the increased reports of kids being bullied to suicide with "good" kids eagerly and actively engaging even if they're not a sociopath/psychopath
people in general worship sociopathy/psychopathy whether they realize or not

That's what I mean. He sunk his own company because he's a p*ssy. Good.

What’s up with all these Indian ceos
Chinese and Indians are heavily represented in the corporate world. I read an article about it. Apparent Indians are more assertive than Chinese culturally, which lends itself nicely to management. Additionally the top 10% of employees in India is a much bigger number than the top 10% of Americans, based on the sheer fact that they have many more people. Their top 10% is like 140 million people, while it’s only like 40 million in the US. Same goes with China. At every corporate job I’ve had in the last decade there are a ton of Chinese and Indians. I think this is related to the global nature of large corporations. They don’t care what country you are from, they just want the best employees. Since China and India are so large, they have a larger number of candidates to pull from

Maybe I’m an a$$hole (or someone who used to be in management)

But if 15% of your staff isn’t hitting their KPI, should you not fire them?

what if that 15% is already on a performance plan (discipline) and to be more efficient you just decide as a company to get rid of those people?

what if that 15% in staff deduction only accounts for 3% productivity? You’re supposed to let them hang on at a loss?

I get the whole “it’s Christmas” angle, but IF warranted (if, because I don’t know :whoa:) is a CEO supposed to look out for individuals at the detriment of the company?

I don’t get the outrage. It’s shytty yes, but without more context it’s hard to know how to frame it (besides it being bad timing, but when is good timing to get fired?)
Real talk. If 15% of your staff ain't hitting KPIs, that's on you.

The overall premise of this post is what I tell younger brehs. I had to be the trailblazer myself in the business world. If you can perform, they will hire you. No, we are not in some post-racial world as I'm a black man and I recognize all that entails in the real world. However, when other people are making that big money, they want the most qualified person available. Companies pay for talent so if you are talented, you will always find a home in a company.
