i think the answer to all of this is suburban field trips.

kids should be driven out the ghettos and taken to their favorite celebrities houses. sounds crazy, i know, but hear me out. then the teacher could explain "do you see _____ house? amazing isn't it. now look at all of his white/asian neighbors. none of them got here by sports entertainment, they got here through education. this is the benefit of education, you can live this lifestyle of luxury w/o having to play ball or rap."

because as it stands, a lot of BLACK MALES don't see the benefits of a higher education until its decades too late. meanwhile, our women actually understand it's best to continue perusing your education until you hit the roof.

this government closed the door on education and employment as a means to an ends. after the discovery zone that was the de-segregation period of education and the institution of affirmative action were both closed.

i am a walking testement to education and achievement no longer being a means to an end. not to mention many unemployed highly serviceable college grad as the rule.

Improving the hood is just as boneheaded a notion as improving the trailer park. It's not going to happen. The people there want things to be that way. The people that don't like it leave.

Get a great education, network, create your business and build it up patiently, and pass it on to your children.
