I lived in and around Chicago from 1994 - 1998. I almost exclusively ate Deep Dish; mostly Giordanos. I don't miss the pizza as much as this small Mexican chain called El Famous Burrito.

There was a spot in Calumet City called Windy City Pizza inside a bowling alley. Great pizza. This was when River Oaks was still popular.

Definitely not something you can eat on the regular though like traditional pizza but that shyt is :wow:

As for traditional pizza , Chicago store tavern cracker crust is 1B. So fukkin good :noah:

Every time Home Run Inn pizza is on sale at Publix buy one get one, I load up

Chicago got the best pizza :yeshrug:

no native eats deep dish exclusively. we actually eat it quite sparingly.

I wasn't disputing that fact. I noticed it too. I just love Deep dish and ate it every chance I got when I was there. I personally think the thin-crust Chicago pizza cut into squares is trash. The crust is rarely made crispy enough and end up mimicking the texture of the pizza box, especially the next day.
